It is true. We are a bunch of old cranky farts. We've also seen any number of people come on this board over the years citing secret (or not secret, but below relevant pay grade) sources and promising any number of things which turned out to be totally untrue.
So yes, you are catching flak from something that you did not do, but it is because of a long, long line of people doing the exact same thing that you are doing.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Well I guess I'll have to get used to it. Sarcasm is hard to detect online. I'm 38 so I'm old and cranky as well lol. I never joined TPR because Robb Alvey is a dick. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it here.
Well the webmaster doesn't have a criminal record here so you made the better choice.

But Andy, he's on the SFOT forum, so.....
Edit to add:
I just did some quick math. He's Career Six Flags with 33 years service and he's a ride op? And he's spilling his guts on a forum? Ok, we HAVE to believe him.
The guy in question is a 50-something hanger on that went back to the park after being away for nearly 30 years. He did take another break from the park to manage a Sonic Drive In in Arkansas or Missouri. You guys are making a big mistake by not taking him seriously.
Well, I doubt I'm gonna have deep regrets or lose any sleep over it. Any additions to SFOT affect me about once every five to seven years. But I hope whatever this man knows is right and it turns out to be something great for y'all.
p.s.- he's not telling.
More info. The guy that designed Bugs Boomtown is working on the new project. Permits here:

It appears dive bomber will be removed, and there are piers behind Adventure Theater that would suggest an expansion of the building. Here is Arthur Calcaterra's website, who is heading the project: http://www.qarch.com
