Garden Grove city leaders said Monday that they will answer alarmed residents' questions about a city idea to put a theme park in their neighborhood at an April 15 meeting. About 300 residents showed up at a community meeting Saturday to ask state legislators questions after learning that city leaders had quietly showed the state legislators a conceptual map showing a theme park in an area off Harbor and Garden Grove boulevards.
Read more from the Orange County Register.
Seriously though, seems the city itself is considering building it. This would seem unprecedented.

Hey I live in Garden Grove and I say go ahead and put in a park! I just hope it's not a Ned Flanders type park! Never thought there was that much land left to make a park tho..........

I think that the idea is very cool, as you can never have enough theme parks around.
However, the neighbors have every right to complain here. The way I see it, if a park was already existing when they moved in, then they have no right to complain. (Knotts, Disneyland) But if they are building a new park, then they should know what is going on.
I wonder who could be building this park? Most likely an independent owner.
Unless of course.... Six Flags over Anaheim? :)
or Busch Gardens Anaheim ;)
