SOB update

Can anybody give me a quick update on SOB? By the way, sorry for what I said in the coaster irritations forum. I got a little out of hand.

As far as I know its been opening on time for the ACE walk back.
I've heard that from a very good source.I've got to admit I had my doubts but seeing pictures of it on Irishcoast's home page confirmed what I've been told.

But how many trains are they running?

The PR people have told me that the opening time varies. They say sometimes it opens for the ACE walk back and sometimes it doesn't. I personally have never seen it open before noon. I have also never seen more than one train run, but maybe it has.

I was there about a week ago for two days. The first day it opened at 12:30 and had one car running, the second day it opened around 11:50am and it still had one car running.

This is probably a dumb question... but what the heck? None of you know me anyways. What is a walk back?

Members of ACE can meet with someone from PR at 9:30am and ride the Beast or Son of Beast (if it is working) before the ride opens for the day. It is called a walk back because you meet PR at the front of the park and then "walk back" to the loading station.

By the way, is SOB any good?

Yes. It is an incredible ride.

Good, at least I can look forward to it IF it is open when I go.
