so whose working at CP this summer?

i got hired on mantis, i was just wondering who, if any of you guys are working at Cedar Point this summer.

I'll be at Paddlewheel Excursions this year. I worked at CP in '99 and '00. I needed a summer job before I go to film school in Jan. and CP was my first chioce.

Mantis is an interesting, sometimes challenging, coaster to work at. The restriants are a pain to get right the first time due to guests not knowing what they are doing, but it's easy to laugh at. I worked Mantis during the first Mellennium Mania.

Is this your first season at CP? What day do you process in? I go April 30th.

i process in on may 8th. i need housing, and i think i want to live on point in one of the older dorms, just so i don't have to deal with taking a shuttle to work. and having millenium force across the street probably wouldn't be bad either.

If you drive, the Ohioians will freeload rides off of you to the Village, where they will arrive in pink pants. Stay in Cedars. Park once and that should be it until your day off. Rent the fridge and a/c unit. You will be fine.

I have stayed at both, and they both have their good and bad.

I prefered Cedars because I liked to walk to work and walk home. Living off point took a good while to get back on busy nights. On the other hand, i did get in my car and go out to eat almost every night anyway...

It depends on your lifestyle, I suppose.

Whats the difference between the two places, I thought there was just the dorms.

Off point dorms are nicer, but not as convenient.

On point dorms should be condemned, but are close.

Off point dorms are right at the end of the causeway.

Those are it JPS.

Cedars Dorms are across the street from the Marina entrance. You can see them from Wildcat. They are red.

Commons Dorms are in the same location as the appartments. They are just down the street and across from McDonnald's. As you pass them when going to the park, you cross under a walking bridge that the employees use to get to an overflow parking lot.

Bayside Appartments are beside Commons just after you cross under the walking bridge.
