So, whats CF going to do with the other 33million?

Well, Cedar Fair has stated they will spend a total of 45 million this yeah on capitol improvements. Obviously 12 of that is going to Cedar Point. Where do you think the rest will go? Most are saying that Knotts is getting a new coaster, but I cant see them getting something for 33 million. So, what do you think Cedar Fair will/should do with the rest?

There is more than Knott's Berry Farm to divide up that money to.

Let's say Knott's does gets something big for say, 15 to 20 mil... Well you still have to consider all the improvements that will be made to Valleyfair, Michigan's Adventure, Worlds of Fun, and Dorney Park, and all their water parks.  While not all of their parks will be getting major investment additions, they surely will all be getting something or another...  And we all know that everything in this world costs money.-

Does anyone know how much Be-Bop-Boulevard costs? Also, theres the rumor of the invert for ValleyFair!

I think that they should give the whole 33 Million to Knotts so they can build 2 new coasters!!!!!
CP gets $13 million , MA is getting $5 million, and WoF is getting a giant Top Spin which i think is less than $2 million.
So there is roughly $25 million left to split between Valleyfair, KBF, and DP. KBF will probably get at least half of the $25 million.

My guesses:

Cedar Tree Point: $13M (Wicked Twister, Snoopy on Frozen Water, Mantis paint job)

Worlds of Boomerangs: $4M (Top Spin, misc schtuff)

Dorney Park: $4M (some kinda new flat ride, other random park improvements)

Michigan's Worlds of Adventure: $5 (all that fun stuff they released...waterboggan thing, Bee Boppers, train, go karts, orange paint for Corkscrew)

ValleyUNfair?:  $2M (lots of brand new garbage cans!  Maybe some new benches)

Knott's Boysenberry Farm: $12-$15M (Brand Spankin' New Intamin Launch Coaster [technical name] and some other improvements).

And there you have it folks, Cedar Fair cap. ex. in 2002!  Well, my guesses at least.

Well, if WoF is getting a giant top spin, like MILLENNIUMFORCERULES said, I can tell you it costs more then 2 million! Thats how much a normal one costs...

Just wanted to point that out.

That's because they're getting a normal Top Spin, not a Giant one.

What is the difference between top spin, and giant top spin?
Giant is bigger then normal, pretty simple huh?

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

This may one may be slightly more expensive then usual however...it has the water effects which i think is a first for  a HUSS top spin. There will probably also be some other general improvements.

Doesn't Ripsaw, a topspin @ AT, have water effects? I have a picture of it somewhere...

I find your nicknames for the parks quite humorous.  And I realize that it's a typo, but $5 could be interpreted as sarcasm-pretty funny too.  Anyway, Knott's has been rumored to get a new intamin launch coaster, and if I'm not mistaken, typical Intamin full-circuits run from about 10 million to 20 million.  Well, go figure!

LOL, thanks for the complement V2 fiend, and I did mean $5M for MWoA, whoops! :)

About the Intamin coaster thing...everything I've heard points to a rather short Intamin launch, with only two trains, I'd estimate 3,000ft maximum.  I'm thinking that will keep cost down to around $12M - $15M (which fits in your $10M-$20M).

I'm just getting worried it won't be open when I get there in late late March...wonder why vertical construction hasn't started yet. :-\

I don't know if they will have enough but it has been a rumor ever since June that VF will get an inverted coaster called Falcon from B&M.
Valleyfair will probably get: nothing. But they really should, they haven't had a major coaster addition since 1996. Sad.
Some parks haven't gotton anything since the 80's. More sad.

From what I understand, KBF's coaster is costing $15 million smack-a-roos!

Well, Intamin is right on.  Check the big pink pieces of track at www.twistedrails.com  After looking at the pics of WickedTwister track, it looks to me that this will be inverted.  I'm think Volcano-esque invert.  Oh well, it just gives me another reason to go out to CoasterCon!
