So we are crazy?

People are always saying that coaster riders are crazy to go on them. Well I say they can just go on the merry-go-round while they wait for me to finish my ride ;)

No, we're not crazy. We just pay $30-$40+ to wait for hours in line to be locked into machines for 2-5 minutes that drag us up where the air is thin (losing oxygen to our brains) so that we can be throw down nearly-vertical tracks supported merely by steel or wooden beams with the sheer wind force distorting our features and pummeling into our lungs, flipped and twisted upside down to deliberately skew our equlibrium, jostled from side to side until our ears ring, dropping our beloved possessions into swamps/bushes/gravel/concrete/people below where they will never be found again, and we end up smiling when it's all over, racing one another back to the entrance so that we can wait in line for a few more hours.

Oh, wait... maybe we are. ;)

I have to ask, though CrystalKat, did you enjoy typing hilarious respone to such a simple question?

I don't recall who it is, but I believe there is a person who posts here with a signature to the tune of:

"How do you explain the actions of millions of people who pay money and wait hours in line to be dropped down a hill? You don't."

I think it's somthing like that. Now I'm gonna be wondering who it is. Anyone, is it you?

Sure we're crazy, but in a good way. When it comes to parks, crazy people have more fun. I'd take one ride on MForce or Mantis over just about anything...
We are not crazy, we just like to have fun, unlike the people who don't perfer to ride coasters.

Talon is going to rock, roll, and take its toll!
I think rich people who waste their money on fancy flights, expensive hotel rooms, and outrageous dinners are crazy. I watch those "lifestyles" shows and scream at the tv, SO, BIG DEAL, SO...
I think people who go to sporting events to watch over paid athletes who don't care about the fans are crazy. What are they doing that is so special, just good at a sport, big deal.

And roller coaster fans are not Nerds, very far from it, it was mentioned in a recent show. Crazy? Yes, Nerds? No. We gotta dispell that myth right now.

pyscologist class us as the t type person. We go great links for thrills. But i say were normal and they are wierd.
CrystalKat, just for that award winning response I'm going to your website :)

*GRIN*

The hilarious part is, I didn't have to think of a word of it, and I had to force myself to stop because it was getting so long! :)

People I work with don't understand and they think I'm absolutely nuts. For excitement THEY do things like go to Atlantic City and lose all their money (but they get a free buffet!) and see the "shows" there. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ who's crazy?????
No crazier than people who spend big bucks to hit a little white ball around with a stick until they get it in a hole. And, then they pull it back out of the hole!
I play golf and ride rollercoasters and I consider myself quite sane. Need to find some cheaper hobbys though.
