So Cal trip Help

Im going to San diego this oct. and have a few questions:

1. How long of a drive is it from San Diego to SFMM and Knott's?
2. Do they run the rides during the Halloween Haunt at knott's, or should I go during the day?
3. How crowded does it get at the Halloween Haunt? Is it worth it?

1. How long of a drive is it from San Diego to SFMM and Knott's?

Depends on if it's rush hour or not. At mid-day or late at night, it's 60-90 minutes to Knotts and about 3 hours to SFMM. During rush hour, add at least an hour to each of those estimates. Try and avoid Interstate 5 anywhere north of Knotts.

2. Do they run the rides during the Halloween Haunt at knott's, or should I go during the day?

Definitely go during the day. The rides have long lines at Haunt and you'll want to concentrate on the mazes. The park is dead during the day in October, so do up the rides at day time. The only rides you'll want to go on during Haunt hours are the Log Ride and the Mine Train, which are themed and haunted beyond belief. Do those before you do ANY of the mazes!

3. How crowded does it get at the Halloween Haunt? Is it worth it?

HH can be very crowded, especially on weekends. The Haunt Pre-Dinner is your best bet. Check Knott's site. Decent food, and you get into the park ahead of the general admission crowd. I haven't done Haunt, but I've heard it's worth it.
