Slingshot bumped from Vegas strip

In a weird change of opinion, Clark County (Las Vegas)denied an operating permit for a Slingshot ride on the famous strip. The owner says it's about the political influence of MGM-Grand.

Would not want something "ugly" on the famous strip, "tacky" and "gaudy" are alright though. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder though.
I guess it just doesn't fit in with all the beautiful prostitutes and bums.

Umm, J1, did you misunderstand? They aren't going to build it now. The permits were denied, which means that they aren't allowed to build it.

I've seen as much as I've wanted to of Lost Wages on the plane ride at night to Hawaii.

Saw that ride at Old Town in Orlando. I have bungee jumped and riddent the Sky Coasters but I am not sure I would get on a sling shot!!!!
I'd like to see a nice, 4 or 5 hundred foot skycoaster somewhere over there. that might scare me, really bad, though.
i think i'd have to relieve myself in my pants.
