Slight Problem

I finally have DDR for my PS2 (yay!) but the problem is, my feet hurt after a few songs. I tried wearing shoes and such, but the inside of my feet kill me after 2 or more songs. At the arcade, I can go on forever...but home is so completely different. Is it because of the soft pads? If so, what can I do to make them better without dishing out tons of money? Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks! :-)

I had the same problem when I first started out. My feet would literally pop when I walked after I played. It pretty much just went away after awhile, and I'm still not sure what caused it. I think it might've been that I was stomping too hard. Maybe that could be your problem?
I've found that at home I have more of a tendancy to play more on my toes. I'm not sure if that helps or if it hurts, but I've never had any problems like yours.

Try switching up your stepping style, perhaps.

Man, everybody's getting Campusfish blogs. John, you should let me know if you ever are in Columbus, we could play some DDR and listen to some TMBG.... best. group. ever.

I would let you know if I'm ever in Lorain, but we all know that's never going to happen. ;) ;)

I grew up listening to that station (near Wilmington). Now it's CD101 in Columbus, which plays TMBG quite often. Not like I care, I have all the albums anyway. ;)
