Slashin' Safari 7/11

DantheCoasterman's avatar I'm going to HW & SS on July 11th and was wondering what the best time to go into the waterpark would be. I will be with a group of 10 or 11 people, if that helps determine something. Thanks for the help! *** Edited 6/12/2006 9:41:50 PM UTC by DantheCoasterman***

I hope you'll be doing some splashin and not slashin, while at the park. ;)

No offence but email and get straight answers from the park.

I understand getting tips from the boards but this park is very straightforward and honest when it comes to Guest Relations.

As for tips, If you wanna ride Funnel slide, Id get there at opening and join the mad dash for the waterpark. other than that, The park supplys two action rivers, two wavepools, Zoombabwe is pretty high capasity and the waterslides are average waterpark wait.

Chuck, who honestly thinks if you wanna enjoy the park part too. Don't be in the waterpark between 2-5. Thats when you'll get most rides and shortest waits IMHO.

July 11th is a Tuesday so the crowds shouldn't be all that maddening but the waterslides will be crowded shortly after the 11am waterpark opening.

Arriving before the 10am rope drop should give you ample time to take on The Voyage, perhaps another ride or two, before hitting Splashin' Safari.

Zinga (the funnel slide) and Zoombabwe seem to have the longest lines (there's a "2 hour wait" point on Zinga and I would hate to be there on that kind of summer Saturday).

The Black Hole tandem tube slides and the alpine mat slides have shorter lines so do go for the 4-passenger raft rides (Zinga, Zoom, Watube) first if you get there for the 11am opening -- or after 5pm when folks start drying off and heading back into the dry park.

Hopefully when it is warm out?

Watch out for that "tornado line" it does not budge! I mean Helen Hunt would not even go on it!

Acoustic Viscosity's avatar ^And you are only allowed two adults on the Tornado slide (Zinga). Try to get two kids in the raft with you for a much more exciting ride. ;)

Also, be very careful when going tandem on the Bamboo Chute. You may just want to go single. ;)

Who needs water slides when it's warm? I went to Kings Island the last day the waterpark was open, 2 years ago. There were only 20 people or so in the park. That means walk-ons everywhere and no need to rent tubes, giving you more for your money!

Just make sure you ride Zoombabwe, Zinga and Jungle Racers, because they are too fun to miss.
