Skyhawk Opening - Paul Rueben, was he there?

Why do people hate on him? Because he's made a career of working the system and saying what people want to hear for his own gain. He has a total lack of credibility.

And he has been known to expect things off-camera from parks, allegedly.

Who is he?

I don't know him personally, but I've heard so many stories about the man, it's frightening. Even if the reports of him showing up UNINVITED for media days, and of marching up exit ramps on normal operating days demanding to be allowed to ride immediately because of "who he is", the mere fact that he's earned that reputation isn't good...

A few years ago I had lunch with some industry types who had just been at the Dodonpa media day and I can tell you that he's not all that well liked in the industry either. You would not believe the stories I heard about PR.

I don't suppose you'd mind sharing some of those stories, would ya? We all gotta know the dirt so we can make fun of him. ;)

Well I did look through trip reports on this site and no I did not find a reference to him in the ones I read. No big deal to get bent out of shape about. Just wondered if Skyhawk was the 'best' ride out there as he always says.......

For that matter, whether or not we like Paul Rueben, this whole thread has drifted to that point regarding him.
