I have ridden two. One in Portopialand in Kobe, Japan that was 150ft tall, and the other at Valleyfair! that was 195ft. I was terrified on both during the climb, but after the initial drop, I screamed for joy. I do enjoy them after the fact. Would I ride again? If someone else paid for the ticket...I don't need to ride one again. I would NEVER ride the Kissimmee Skycoaster. It is a little TOO much.

;)Rollercoasters are like parrots...if you take care of them, they should outlive you;)
I've been on the one at SFNE when I worked there it was 113ft. I want to go on the Skycoaster in Old Town in Kissimmee, FL that is 300ft but it's too expensive.
Speaking of Skycoasters, does anyone know the price of the one at SFMM for two people, which should be my first one?

Life is like a coaster---You go up, down, turn-around, and upside-down...and then there's all that pressure on your head, too...
I usually do the one at SFStL everytime I go...I know a few people that work there, so I have them fly with me, and we get the employee discount.:) It's the best adrenaline rush around IMO.

I have done the Skycoaster thing twice. Once at PKI and at 150 feet it was quite a rush, but nothing like the one in Kissimmee that I did back in June! Nothing short of skydiving will prepare you for hanging 300 feet in the air with nothing between you and death but a flimsy nylon vest! What was so cool about the 300 footer in Kissimmee is that you free fall a good 100 feet or so before you feel the cable start to pull you into the arc of the swing! I agree that 32 bucks is a little much for the experience after you have already done it, but I would do it again in a heartbeat, especially if it was with someone who had never done it before.

Hey, read my Quote....it's been that way for far too long, but that's just how it goes. i still have to get on Kennywood's.
all i can say is, I LOVE Skycoasters. they are a bit pricey, but at SFWoA's media day, their's was free...i hope it's like that next year, too :-D

The skycoaster in O-lando is awesome. Much scarier than a 200 footer. You have time to think on the way up. It's scary but it does tons of business at night. Ssome of those people are probably drunk. I would do it again. Once, I saw someone chicken out at the top and they lowered them down slowly. What a real waste of 32 bucks!
I agree that there is nothing like the 300 footer. I rode it with my old college roommate from Tampa and will admit that if I had had to pull the ripcord, I may very well have wussed out too. It is very unnerving the first time hanging up there, and you do have plenty of time to contemplate your predicament and make your peace with God lol But the rush is worth it, now I need to ride it again and face my fear of pulling the ripcord....
Isn't going up the scariest thing ever?
Does anyone know how tall Daredevil Dive is at SFGAm? How much is it per person with 1, 2, and 3 people? Also, is there a minimum age weight height? I want to go on it.

Skycoasters are awesome. I really like to go on them with my friends. It's fun pulling the cord because if you go on it with your friends, they wont know when "you" will pull the cord;)

Top 5 Coasters:
1)Raging Bull 2)Millennium Force 3)Medusa (SFMW) 4)Vertical Velocity (SFGAm) 5)Incredible Hulk, The
SkyCoasters are cool, but SkyScrapers and Turbo Force's are MUCH better!!!!! SkyCoasters just don't do it for me. The only one that I really like was the 300-footer in Orlando. I will do the 500-footer when it comes out, but it frightens me to think about how much that thing will cost!

No, but it is noticably smaller than ones I've seen at other parks. I wouldn't waste my money on any of these that are under 200 ft. I'd rather ride Giant Drop or Power Tower for free.

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) The Legend
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze

Kings Island is having a "wicked" deal on their skycoaster! Half off the rest of the year...if you can find two people to ride wit you...its only 7.50! That is unprecedented...and these things are defiantely worth the expeirience!

I enjoyed the one at SFOT, there's is called Dive Bomber! It was 150 ft, I really wish it was higher though! I have to agree with the being over priced!I had been wanting to ride it but never wanted to spend the money on it! It just so happened one day walking into the park we found $80.00 on the ground-:) I rode it that day despite it's 30.00 price tag, I guess it was just mean't for me to ride it that day!!:)

TITAN CRAZED!!
