I haven't seen this mentioned here before, but this seems to me to be something a lot of amusement park fans would be interested in. Holiday Valley Resort, in Ellicottville NY is installing a new Mountain Coaster and an Aerial Adventure Park for the summer of 2011. I think the coaster will be a Wiegand Alpine Coaster, steel track with two seat inline seating cars. The resort will most likely operate the coaster summer and winter. You can see it on the Wiegand web site.
The aerial aspect of the park will be a series of platforms and bridges built in the trees, with some courses having zip lines. You will be in a safety harness to keep you from falling. The resort says it will be similar to the Sandy Spring Adventure Park outside of Washington DC.
I think this will be a great and fun addition to the amusement scene in the Cleveland, Buffalo and Pittsburgh triangle, with unique activites for the region. Here is the link to the Holiday Valley website.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
