Skeleton

I was thinking about that Olympics event called "skeleton". Wouldn't that be awesome to have a rollercoaster with trains like that? If not on the same type of track then maybe have one built on the regular coaster track to make it a little safer. That would be so awesome.

Hmmmgood concept....but to keep the G-forces on your stomach from being too great....the pullouts would have to be 2x as long as a sitdown.  Have you laid flat on your stomach for 5-10minutes? and then get up?  it's not the best feeling, isn't it.  ;)
Yeah, that would be kinda weird though.  Have your chin so close to the coaster track that is flying by would be awesome.
Just use track like a typical Bobsled coaster, would work ok I suppose but i would be afraid it would flip too easy.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

Yeah i'd be pretty freaked out by a bobsled track too. But then again that make it just that much better....just as long as it doesn't actually flip over.

Yeah, except that the skeletoners know what they are doing, and are in lycra suits. Those of us with hair and arms and legs would probably rather not be four inches from the track.

Thats another thing that would make it a little unsafe. But if you make the trains a little higher from the track and have something keeping people from being able to touch the track with their hands it might be a little safer.

Weekdays at 3:30 channell 55 Ft. Wayne followed by the Smurfs at 4:00. Call them Skeletors.
Isn't the flying dutchman like that (laying on your stomache) when it's upside down, the only difference being you can see a lot?

Maybe Intamin and or Mack should design some new cars for the bobsleds, it might revitalize them for a couple years, but the novelty would probably wear off as fast as the normal bobsled does.

I still have no signature.

TrBiggar: Well, a floorless is just like an inverted, except it's on top of the track instead of below.  The flyers give you the view, the skeleton would give you the sensation of speed from being close to the track.

The legend lives!
LOL Speaking of Channel 55, remember Happy's Place?  They have a new Happy now but he just doesn't cut it.  The Happy of the early 80's had it all LOL.

Let's just all go to Salt Lake and give it a try :) Seriously, aren't they going to open the bobsled/lunge/skeleton/ski jump areas built for the Olympics to the public?

They could put some sort of see through plastic panel underneath the platform that you are riding on so that you couldn't touch the track.  Just one of my ideas.
Everybody , go to keansburg amusement park and runnaway rapids water park.  They have a giant water slide wherer you lie on a mat and go down face first .  It is probably my favorite water ride.
