I see a lot of threads on the message boards about buzzers looking for stuff like this. So how many of you are planning on bidding? I have to admit it'd be kind of cool to have. How high will we see this wheel go?

I am going to bid on this once I get home from school. I am willing to pay about 80 bucks for it also.

Then you won't get it since the bidding is already over that.

Are they only doing this with one wheel? Why not all of them, or other parts as well. The ride must be going elsewhere then!

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!

The ride is not going anywhere, this is an old wheel. They get changed out periodically for maintenance reasons.
out of my price range. O well

Are they only doing this with one wheel?

Yup, just the one. AstroWorld was gracious enough to donate two wheels to me.. one for the personal collection (grin) and one to auction off. It was actually my idea to donate a portion back to Project Love.

You can't see it clearly in the photos, but the wheel says "Made In West Germany" on it if you wanna get an idea of it's age.

That'd be really neat to have framed on a wall.

it is probably the wheel in best condition and/or an origional
