Six Flags...DUH!!! :)

Okay...why does SF charge different prices for all-park season passes? That is just stupid

The more popularity a park gets the more they can charge.

They also don't plan on people migrating over to a different park to get their season pass just because it's cheaper. That, and what Jephry said is why parks like SFKK and SFWOA have different prices.

SFMM pass expires dec 31 while most if not all of the other SF passes have expired. If you have a 2001 pass for SFMW can you use it at MM? I know the pass at SFMW was cheaper than the MM pass. The SFMW also included parking and the two water parks near by.
As far as I am aware, the passes are good for the calendar year, NOT the parks seasonal operating schedule. That said, your SFMW pass is good at SFMM untill DEC 31. Call SFMM to confirm.

My other car is a Giovanola!
I believe that's incorrect. I asked guest relations if my SFA was good until the end of the year or the end of the SFA season, and I was told that a pass from a seasonal park was only good until that parks season ended, unless it was a year round park, then it expired on 31 December.
My SFEG pass says its good until the end of the year.  I like the all parks, different prices thing.  I bought my SFEG family pass with a group of friends for $49.  I went to Elitch's twice, but the main reason I bought it was my trip to SFMM.  My season pass cost $5 more than admission to SFMM!

If they are charging 80$ for a SFMM season pass (I am not saying they are, just giving an example) do you think its fair for them to charge 80$ for an Elitch Gardens season pass?

...And vice versa, if its 40$ for an Elitch Gardens pass, it wouldn't be fair to charge SFMM peeps 40$ too because the elitch gardens people would be furious!

... No offense against Elitch Gardens, hehe...

It is because some parks have more to offer, Elitch Gardens has like 25 rides and SFMM has almost that many coasters, it would be sad for a pass to elitchs to be the same as SFMM.
It was fair for me!  :-)  To be perfectly honest, I don't really think that a whole lot of people, other than frequent travelers and enthusiasts use their SF passes at more than their home park.  Or if they do use them at a number of parks, then it would be at parks that are cole together.  (eg. SFMM and SFMW, SFWOA and SFKK, and the new england Six flags parks)  Correct me if I am wrong, but arent the pass prices for the parks that are clsoe together realatively the same?  Just my $.02

Let's see a) some parks have more attractions b) some parks such as Great Adventure are located in higher rent zones c) some parks have greater overhead

SFDLdude, do you like seeing your name multiple times. How many more post are you going to start?

SFA 2002-What are they building?

SFMM always have a huge discount on their season passes. I doubt that any So.Cal resident pays the full price for a SFMM season pass. Usually the discount is 40+ dollars saying the pass is 80+ then usually they will have a special for 47.99.  I think it was 49.99 this year but previous holders get it for cheaper, my renewal was 47.99 but at rite aid it was 49.99. I think the only people that pay full price for SFMM passes is out of towners that failed to look for a discount, there  at numorous fast food chains, gas stations, and grocery stores, also there on coke cola product soda cans and bottles.

I always though 14.5 was different from 25 :)

My fellow Americans, let's roll!
I pray that I will never see a Six Flags Conneaut Lake

My experience has been that the passes are good for the calendar year....at least at magic mountain....I've used mine at SFMM 3 times after SFWOA has closed for the year.  Not sure about at the other parks though.
