SIX FLAGS TO MOVE IN TO ORLANDO!

I just saw a report on CNN that Six Flags would be moving in on the turf of true Theme Parks in America. It was a short blurb saying they would come in under the WBMW name. I then showed a clip (a sit-down red coaster, Dragon Khan, thought that is Aventure) and mentioned the WBMW in Madrid.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Well, this would be the first Warner Bros. Movie World park to debut in the U.S.

I mean, a standard Six Flags-branded park would not do very well in a marketplace home to themed wonders such as The Magic Kingdom, SeaWorld Adventure Park, and the Universal Studios Complex.

That would be awsome. We might actually get to see six flags do actual theming! What are the other WBMW parks like? Do they have good theming? I sure hope this is true.

Do you have a link to the story?

The WB Movie World in Dussledorf, Germany is a little run down. Many of the rides could use a new coat of paint and theming repairs, especially on their river rapids ride. Also, Lethal Weapon (a two track coaster) rarely runs trains on both tracks. Like many Six Flags, WB World Germany could use some tlc.
X Maniac, Six Flags already does do a great job at theming. The Batman themed sections around parks are always well done.

Check out WBMW Madrid. Theming is beyond belief for something created by six flags.

No way is that happening anytime soon,SFI is in so much debt that they can't even afford any major spending (ie new rides) in 04 so what makes you think they're gonna build a new park from scratch?

As it is SFI over invested in a lot of parks during the past 5 years & they still havn't made enough revenue to get out of the financial mess they've gotten themselves into, but then again they've made bad business decisions before so what's to stop them from making yet another bad business move in the future? however we can all rest assured that, for the time being they probably aren't gonna be building a new park from the ground up anytime soon.

Riiiiight.

Anyway, I can't find anything reported to this effect. Shocking, I know. Hard to believe? You bet.

But, clearly, Hobodog has a longstanding reputation here at Coasterbuzz for breaking hard news, so.

Maddie's right. You don't post 2 posts just to have other members laugh at you.

That being said, HA!

There have been plans for an Orlando park, keep in mind that almost nothing in Madrid was paid by Six Flags. And they only have 5% shares of the park.

As for the themeing, the whole park was designed by Landmark Entertainment and Warner Bros.

Check out Marcus Sheen's gallery and be amazed:

You're lucky if a similar park will be actually built in Florida. Maybe 2007 or 2008. Not earlier.
