Taking a queue from soft drink companies, Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker and Willa Ford will sell the Six Flags amusement park chain in several TV spots.

They've been playing a SFGAdv commercial for quite a while now that features Sugar Ray's "Fly" in the Philly area. The band isn't in the commercial anywhere, it has a bunch of Nitro footage and the song playing over it.

I don't know who Angela Vio is, but given my thing for Latin women, you bet I'd like to know more. ;)

Those spots sure beat the crap out of some hilljack on video saying "It's way better than Cedar Point."

"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"

I don't know, but ANYTHING is better than CP's saying last year, "Hold ON!"

Legal or not, people go to amusement parks to put their hands up. All the peeps down here (and up a the Point I might add)I talked to had a good laugh with that one.

At least this year they have a saying that is more like the park.

Feel the Fun!

And see ya around at the parks!

I don't even know who these people are. I hate celebrity advertising. Don't they have enough money already? Why don't they go kick back in a lawn chair and eat peanut butter or something

And to think you all forgot about that ;) ...

How about New Order, John? "Let's go out and have some fun!"

They've been using Sugar Ray's 'Fly' to advertise SFEG and the new Flying Coaster. At least it kind of makes sense, right?

"Attention all Time Travel Commitee Members; the reasearch and development meeting will take place last friday at O-Three-Hundred hours. Do not be late."

Was Sonique's song really used in a commercial? Which park? thanks
They've been using that stupid Fly song for Batwing too, but of course they're still using footage of X-Flight....the creative genius that Six Flags truly is :)

SFOT and Titan are Sugar Ray "Fly".

SFKK has Uncle Kracker singing a song I've never heard of, but it's up beat!
I just saw a different one for SFOT that has Willa Ford. The beginning was good, but the ending was horrible! At the beginning, it showed shots of the actually park, but by the end they started showing shots from other parks (SFKK being one of them!?).

We were actually at Fiesta Texas when Sugar Ray played on Friday night. It was $10 bucks on top of the admission price. What a bargain. One couldn't help but think of the scene out of "This Is Spinal Tap" when they are playing the small amplitheater at Magic Mountain. Some people from our tour actually rode Poltergeist with Sugar Ray. It was really cool riding Rattler (not that Rattler and the word cool should ever be used in the same sentence), and Road Runner Express and hearing all their greatest hits.

Franklelock86, you need to step away from the computer and get out of the house more. EVERY company uses other rides in their footage and print ads. The fact that they use the same ride with different colors is intelligent. It costs a lot of money to make a commercial. If the public shows up and the ride is a different color, it doesn't matter. It's still the same ride. Ever seen the PKD ad this year? You'll see Son of a Beast and Vortex. The last I checked, neither one of those rides are located in Doswell Virginia. Did you pick up the brochure for Roller Soaker? It's Flying Super Saturator at Carowinds with the colors changed.
