My inbox got flooded with multiple SF Surveys over the weekend. Yeah, the first question is acknowledging that you're not allowed to share any of the info, blah blah. Don't worry Arlington head office, after the 21st question in a row (out of what looked like at least 48 in total), trying to dial in what I would be willing to pay for a Six Flags Season pass, you lost any willingness I had to keep it quiet. I bailed on the survey. Seriously, would I pay this amount, would I pay that amount, would I pay this amount for a Zoo instead, would I pay this for a waterpark (what if it was a double deluxe with cheese waterpark).
JFC, some intern should be removed from their role for sending this thing out, and if it wasn't an intern, well, then they've learned nothing through the merger.
and it looks like Knott's is getting a family ride, and SFMM is getting festivals and night time entertainment based on where the questions were headed (that is, assuming I was willing to pay $XXX.XX for a season pass). Can't imagine why you'd need a survey to figure out that SFMM needs night time entertainment, or any entertainment for that matter, since there is NONE currently.
Yeah, because I’m now even more exasperated…..
I went back and completed the survey.
Once I got through the nearly 40 questions on pricing I got to the 30 questions about new things for the park. Lots of choices but in a side by side comparison (roller coaster or water park attraction, dark ride or flat ride package, single rail or floorless). Multiple iterations of the same things in an overly frustrating set of combinations. Some were generic as you would expect, some were oddly specific, height, drop, inversions, several were types that MM already has (so assumed this is a generic set of questions), several on enhancements to infrastructure (none on how much I might enjoy having Food and Bev actually open), one VERY specific question about rehabbing an icon back to its glory days (not a coaster), and a dark ride all about the joys of TEXAS. For a park in California. Idiots.
Your rage brings me joy. First rule of surveys, keep them as short and focused as possible. They apparently don't know that.
