Six Flags survey for possible future rewards program

It appears that the rewards program will start in 2010. The information on this page has been updated recently. I will be anxious to see what offers I receive. It mentions a skip the line pass, free soft drinks, and an extra bring-a-friend free ticket as examples.

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.
2010 total visits: SFMM-9, KBF-2
2010 total ride laps: 437

Looking forward to seeing the details come spring.

Those were the rewards at Great Adventure this year
You got a reward for each visit from May to Labor Day
visit 1 - exit pass for 1 ride good for 2 people
visit 2 - free upgrade to preferred parking
visit 3 - 2 free medium sodas or free refils for a souvenir bottle all day
visit 4 - 15% off a 2010 season pass
visit 5 - bring a friend free ticket (good any day except it expired in early October)

after 5 visits that was it though, the rewards didn't start over again with visit 6 for example

How were the rewards given to you? Did they give you a coupon when you entered the park? Is it e-mailed to you?

According to the website the offers are sent by e-mail. Upgraded parking means nothing to me but everything else sounds good.

They send you an e-mail a day or two after your visit (except the 15% off which was sent in September, regardless of when your 4th visit was) with a link to click and a unique redemption code and then you print out the certificate.

For the exit pass, you took the printed form to the Looney Tunes Shoppe to redeem it.

I think this program works...for the intended target audience of families/people who buy the pass because they plan on visiting twice during the entire season, sign up for the rewards and then realize "Hey! We can get deal 'x' if we visit another time....so let's go again!" I don't think they plan on taking into consideration the enthusiast community who may happen to make their 5 visits during the first month of the season as that doesn't seem to be the scope of this entire rewards program.

The only one I see a glitch with is the upgrade to preferred parking....if there is already purchased seasonal parking, what would an upgrade for preferred parking do as these people are already parking in the preferred lots I would assume.

Assuming I stick to my usual plan of visiting about once a month, I should be able to get at least the first 3-4 rewards even if it only goes from May to Labor Day. I would be happy with any of those 5 offers except the preferred parking. I don't know about other parks but MM only has general parking and a valet lot. I usually get there early enough that I am in the first 4 rows and I use the tram if I feel like it so getting valet parking would not really be a benefit. Actually I would prefer not to use it. I don't like strangers driving my car and parking is included with my pass anyway.

The preferred lot is set up differently at Great Adventure. They took the first 20 rows maybe of parking plus the handicapped parking spots and put barriers around it and that is the preferred parking area (someone parking in a handicapped spot doesn't have to pay the extra $10).

Season Pass holders with parking on their pass park in the normal lot but can pay the extra $10 a visit to use preferred parking if they want (not worth it, as it is maybe an extra 2 minutes of walking).

I guess the parking upgrade would be a small bonus at Great Adventure then, but sure not worth $10 extra. I think they could have thought of something better to give as a reward. If I get a parking upgrade at MM next year with the current parking setup, I wouldn't even use it.
