Six Flags St. Louis Savin for Hyper or Giga Coaste

SFStL probably won't be getting a hyper next year, but it may get something...
Was it something I said? ;)

SFStl will get nothing and they will like it that way. All the assets are going to SFMM to add 20 more coasters to the park. LOL

I just hope they dont clone SFNE SROS. That's the only coaster that makes the park popular around the country and the if a more popular Six Flags park got one, SFNE would just be a small, worthless SF park.

Why would cloning arguably the best hyper in the world make your park (the original) worthless?  Are you kidding me?  Is a replica thousands of miles away take away from the ride you already have?  Will it make the airtime less?  Will it reduce the speed?  Come on you guys.  We're not splitting atoms and reducing from the original cells here.  Duplicating rollercoasters being viewed in a negative light will never make sense to me.  Are you telling me that if SF decided to bring a clone of X to SFSTL that you'd politely decline?  Of course not.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

The park (SFStL) could use a flat ride package for sure. The park IS quite pretty, but it also seems to be an endless series of paths without much to do between specific attractions. Its one of those parks you can "walk yourself to death in" and feel as though you didn't have a whole lot to do (when compared to some other SF parks). I'd say that the mine train and The Boss are truly the highlights of the park.
I definately agree with getting more flat rides.  Take out the Hannibarrels, since it hasn't run in at least 4 years, and put something there.  Maybe stick something up by the Tidal Wave where they used to do the Demolition Derbies.  I wouldn't mind a few of the Giant Huss installations.

And the huge space in front of Mr. Freeze and the old Castaway Kids is just begging for a drop tower...

I agree with sfne guy and SROS221. They CANNOT clone SROS(sfne). The ride is built uniquely for the territory and it would be hard to modify land at another park unless they have a lot of land available.

See: Top Gun @ PKI and Vortex at PCW. Nearly exact clones, different terrain.

The old Castaway area is already being used next year...
I seem to curse this board whenever I post, but hey, it's been more than a week lol
What we know so far is that Castaway will be rethemed to Scooby Doo, and a few other rides are on the way ;) anyone else here care to comment?

I'll comment, I'm a Blues fan and was at the Jackets game last night and oh man did they ever stink it up there at the end.  Heartbraking.

On SFStL, this park could really use a nice package of flat rides and a drop tower, how hard is it to get a drop tower of some sort?  I think SFStL's next coaser will either be a hyper, floorless or some sort of clone.  I'm hoping for a hyper.  But don't think it will be for at least a year or two.

What, if any, are the height restrictions for Eureka ? I'd love to see them get an Acrophobia clone, and a Hyper or Giga would be great. Here's a idea...Sell off Kentucky Kingdom, and use the money to add more rides to SFStL. They could move Chang to SFStL, and Twisted Sisters to SFEG or one of the other small parks.

As for which Hyper for SFStL ? As much as I like B&M, having a Gio or Intamin Hyper within 6 or 7 hours of me would be great. I know SFGAm won't get one since we already have Raging Bull. A Giga for SFStL would be even better, and would make it a world class park.

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze

Do not worry your time will come in 2003. ;)

Top 5
1.) Beast 2.) Phantom's Revenge 2.) SROS (SFNE) 4.) SROS (SFDL) 5.) MF

It figures that there won't be any new coasters within driving range for me next year. (I'm willing to drive seven to eight hours one way.)  Kinda blows.  It's too bad that SFGAM, VF, Adventureland, WOF, and SFSTL don't all get together so one park opens a new coaster in a rotation.

Just wait till next year!
Yes, 2003 shall be a good year for us  ;)

As for that Acrophobia clone, don't count it out just yet...ya never know what might pop outta Dave's sleeve   lol

I think the new Scooby Doo dark ride will be fun and entertaining, certainly more so than an empty building ;)
