Six Flags St. Louis

Is it just me, or does this park get left out of everything. For every new ride that is put it, one is taken away. Why does it not have a freefall ride? How about a stand-up? A hyper coaster?

It's all about return on investment. It's the rule amusement parks have to live by. For anything you install, you have to ask if it will attract enough people to pay for it. Smaller parks in smaller markets simply can't afford to put in giant rides every year, because they'll go broke.

Of course, Six Flags isn't exactly known for playing by this rule, but then again, look at the ROI you get from investing in them!

Did you not enjoy The Boss??? I would kill to have this near me!!

Gotta ride 'em all!
The Boss is cool, but it is so rough! I have rode a lot of wooden coasters that are just as awesome as the Boss, but are 100% smoother.

Maybe it is that "150' woodie curse" rearing its ugly head, this time on a CCI?

St. Louis is in the shadow of SFGAM so its getting left out a bit. However, I think if you look at the last several years I'd say SFStL is getting more stuff then they used to.

You build it, I'll ride it
I liked Six Flags St. Louis, I visited in 99, and I found the park to be the second most beautiful SF park behind SFoG. The coasters were nice, but I agree that there should be more there; considering that the park's been around as long as many of their other big parks.
They really need a floorless, hyper, or standup...
If they had ONE or TWO more coasters, this park would really be one of the best.
Hey everyone, SFStL is my home park, and I really get mad about how it gets left out. We NEED a freefall, we NEED a hyper, but it's not likely that we'll get either. Sure, I enjoy the Boss, and I've ridden it so many times that I've pretty much become immune to it's brutal roughness, but I must say that I would be happier if they tore it down and put up a hyper. Just my opinion. Later.
While this might sound a little wrong with Wild Thing in my backyard, but I don't think SFStL needs a hyper. I usually hit the park up once every year and I've been suprised at the fact that they've got so much recently. Remember that before B:TR SfStL got basically nothing. So, in light of that I think the park is rapidly growing.

I'm guessing with the amazing growth taking place in the St. Louis area that SFStL will probably get another coaster (I don't know about a hyper) in 2002

I truely hope that SFStL gets a new coaster in 2002 because it's my home park and it kind-of gets a little boring after going there about 7 or 8 times a year because of the lack of coasters it has. Sure, the Boss is great, but it's a little too rough for me...
