Six Flags St Louis

We are heading to Chicago Monday for Great America and wondered if it is worth a side trip to go to Mid American on Sunday? What kind of waits (namely Boss and Mr Freeze) are typical on Sundays. Also the web site appears that there are only 15 rides there. Is that true? Thanks for the advice.
It kind of depends on where you’re coming from. From your track record I’m guessing that you live somewhere in Ohio. If that is the case, then SFStL would be rather far out of your way.

But, anyway… the park is worth a trip if you have the time. Crowds usually aren’t too bad on Sundays and the weekend ride op crews usually do a pretty good job of keeping lines moving. SFStL never has signs that tell you wait times, but in my experience: Boss full queue – 45-60min.; Mr. Freeze from where you enter the building – 30min.

SFStL has more than 15 rides, but the 6 coasters are the big draws – the flat ride selection is pretty weak. I would advise riding B:TR at StL even though there is a clone in Chicago – the one in StL is the mirror image (namtaB) and the lines for it in Chicago get pretty long.

Don’t pay for the preferred parking – it is a rip off.

Have a good trip.

Thanks for your help. Acutally, we are from Ohio, but will be coming from a weekend trip to western ky, so it won't be too far out of the way. If crowds aren't too bad, its sounds like its worth it.
how rough is mr freeze
On a scale of 1-10 roughs, (10 being roughest) I personally would give Mr Freeze about a 6 or 7. If you plan on a re-ride, do it a bit later on. What roughness Freeze delivers, it makes up for in intesity and excitement. There isn't much that can compare to going backwards through the tophat and that kick-butt launch.

God please let SFKK get something this year. ANYTHING!!
Super 7, if you are coming from KY, then you’ll practically drive right past Holiday World on your way to SFStL – It is definitely worth the trip and you could probably do both parks in one day.

Freeze is only rough on the return trip – going foreword is fine (now if they would just get rid of the OTSRs…) Make sure you wait for the front seat at least once.
