First my pass "renewal" from SFKK, 700 miles away, then an e-mail from SFGE, even further away.  If not for SRM, I'd NEVER have been to SFKK in the first place.  The ONLY ride there I'd like to ride again was Thunder Run...how can ONE park ruin BOTH a CCI and a B&M...they should get some kind of award!

I'm confused, how are Chang and TS ruined?

I've been riding both since 1998 and have always run consistently well every time I was there, except once on TS.

What was wrong with them?

2002 are 80 at gadv
I live 3 hours away from Great Escape, in Montreal. I'll try to go there next summer.

The price for the La Ronde season pass last year was 65$ canadian, I dont know yet in 2002!

The current season pass offer from SFOT is $59.99, or $79.99 if you want to upgrade to the Texas Gold pass.  A parking pass is $35.  Last year there was a family 4 pack offer that was about $5 less per pass, but I haven't seen a promotion like that for 2002 yet.

Down the road at SFFT the season pass is currently $44.99 and a parking pass is $12.

Legendary, I've ridden PLENTY of coasters by B&M (heck, I live in their FL showroom) and I've never felt one nearly as rough as Chang.  When Kumba STARTED to get a little bangy, BGT took it down for about a month or so and Voila, ride returned to "nearly new" condition.  The only B&M close to this roughness was Mantis this year...

I can't say I've ridden plenty of CCI's (only 6 so far), but I can say with NO doubt that TS was the loudest screeching woodie I've been on other than RT at SFGAdv.  It was slowed greatly due to the TOTAL lack of grease anywhere on the track.  Basically, it meandered slowly (but not smoothly) through what MUST have been a really interesting and fun layout at its inception.  CCI doesn't make them like this from my (too-limited) experience.

Granted, only one trip has included SFKK, but after two visits to the park (during last year's SRM), we were disappointed.  I am aware that HW can raise your expectations to unreasonable levels... I just think some TLC for these rides, and another bridge, would be the best of improvements for the park!

That's odd. I've never had a ride nearly as bad as the one you describe in numerous visits over the past 5 years. SFKK is usually very generous with the grease on their woodies. Chalk it up to bad luck in your case.

To the ignorant; you're not ripping off Six Flags. Have you ever noticed when you buy a season pass that it says "for unlimited visits during the season".

My season passes for SFEG are only $52!  WHich is great since I am probably going to SFStL and SFMM next summer too!

I got my SFOG season pass last year for only $37.99.  It was $42.99, but Kroger had a $5.00 one week discount if you had the Kroger Plus Card.

Why does SFGAM have the highest priced season passes if you don't get them on diff. types of specials?
SFNE - $44.95 (for 4+). And they mentioned "a brand new steel roller coaster in 2002" in my e-mail. Just checking in.

You can nail a SFGAM pass for around 67 bucks with the family four pack, you don't even have to be a family.  Thats not a bad way to do it.

Are they trying to tell me a European trip is in the works?

Don't forget the SF in Mexico, Holland, and Montreal.

Regarding the whole Six Flags branded name thing, if you look at the new season pass renewal letters and the different six flags websites, the season pass pages say the pass is availible at six flags properties including Great Escape, meaning they probably won't be branded the Six Flags name... this year....
Yeah 50$ i paid 80 last year for Gadv even if it has the most rides. 80 is way to much but it still is worth it.

I know that SFNE's will be exactly like last years except with a purple backround making me think that the new SFNE coaster will indefinately be Batman themed.
