Six Flags Season Passes

I'd imagine they don't need to "give away the gate" in NJ as much....attendance and SP prices also point in that direction...probably the SFGAm crowd doesn't get 3 bring-a-friend day stuff either.

Just a hunch...

That stuff never did me any good anyway, since I don't get to any SF park more than twice in a season, and SFoG is the only one I *could* get to twice a season...

I believe that last year there were a number of bring a friend free/cheap things in the coupon books, the one they handed out was a reward for buying early. Also, for example, they e-mailed me a coupon for a $10.00 BAF admission later in the year, so while not free, $10.00 is a significant discount.
^It is also the discount you will find on any Coke-Cola cans most of the summer.

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

Sorry for the confusion I meant a coupon where the total cost of admission was $10.00 ($40.00 savings) as opposed to $10.00 off ($10.00 savings).

$84.99 for a season at that park is a great deal.

At SFA, each of the bring a friend free passes have stipulations. You get two directly in the coupon book itself. The first one must be used in the first half of the year, and is good any day through Memorial Day, and only weekdays from there after. The second pass works similarly, but it is for the end of the year. Obviously they're trying to get people to come for the days that are typically "slow" at the park. The third bring a friend free is an actual ticket that's good any day of the year, but to get that third ticket, you need to have your pass processed before sometime in May. Of course this cuts down lines at the processing booth during the busy summer months and encourges people to buy their season pass early. SFA's coupon book typically has a couple bring a friend half price coupons, and coupons to buy tickets for friends at other SF parks for a significant discount.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

I am new to this addiction after getting hooked as a passholder's guest on one of the season pass nights last year. I don't remember how that worked. Please help me with some preparatory information: On the passholder days/times, are there provisions for bringing a guest (in case the person who got me addicted is unavailable due to family commitments on Easter)? How much is admission usually for a guest?
^Which park are you referring to? At SFOT, the special passholder events were only for those who had the higher priced gold pass, and there were no provisions for bringing guests.
Ah - good question! Mostly Great Adventure but also America if it applies.
Passholder events at SFA are special days and reserved for Premium Passholders. Most take place in the morning before the park opens on Saturdays in June, July and August. There is usually one for Gotham City, Looney Toon Movie Town and Hurricane Harbor (all held on different dates). I didn't get the premium pass this season so I'm not sure of the dates if their if having them this year.

Problem with SFA having such events is the 10:00 curfew. The park has to close at 10:00 on Friday and Saturday nights making it hard for them to have events unless it's in April.

A day at the park is what you make it!

Thanks - this is very helpful. Sounds like that rules out SFA. I have a (regular?) pass to SFGAdv. Easter would be the best opportunity to get my husband to the park - can I pay something and get him in? What about a friend with a regular SFA pass trying to go on a passholders' day at SFGA - would he pay something to be my guest? Sorry to be so stupid.

Erinys...*typically* all SF events for passholders allow passholders from other SF parks - I was able to get the GAdv early entrance with my SFMM pass, and "post-closing day" at SFoG with my SFA pass...(there's really not that many of us lunatics, and it's *really* good GR).

Of course, checking with your particular park for the event in question is your best bet (and, as always, get the name of the person you spoke with)... ;)

Thanks for the info. I'll check with them the week before. Hoping it's not anything different now that the SFA season passes are "Play Pass"es - he didn't get his activated at the end of last season, so it'll be whatever they do April 8.
At Six Flags Fiesta Texas they are $46.99. I believe at Six Flags Over Texas they are $75.00. Considering that this year I have goals of visiting SFOG, SFGRADV, SFNE, SFOT, and SFMM, Id say a season pass at that price is definitely the way to go!!

If your last date was shorter than a coaster ride, dump him!

My paranoid fears about the disappearance of coupon books was just paranoid! http://www.sixflags.com/season_pass.asp

Paris, you dont need to go to the park again; allthough Six Flags is sometimes too cheap to send you a new pass and instead sends you a sticker to place on your old pass (they did this in 2003.)

I already renewed my SF New England pass online, about 3 weeks ago, while living here in Philly, and I recieved a completely new pass with last years photo. I don't have to go back up to SFNE for any activation, or processing, just go have fun.

Coasterphan, Touchdown, et al -- thanks! That's just what I wound up doing. Even though my Magic Mountain pass was from 2004, it was still on file and me and my family are now set for a 2006 season that will start on the Northeast.

Not having to deal with the redemption and processing lines is pretty sweet.

i think all parks should offer the season passes for one low price not 3 times the amount
And I think that people should put proper punctuation, capitalization and grammar in their posts...but that doesn't mean it will actually happen.
