Six Flags Ride Rotation Program

It looks like the trailblazer is where Rt was. Does anyone know where Z-force was?
Z Force was where Iron Wolf is now.

No, it's not the same, at least not the why I am thinking about it. I'm think about it as someone would walking the paths. They would enter the park and walking counter-clockwise would encounter Whizzer, then Viper, then Rolling thunder, then Demon and ending up at the back of the park by the American Eagle.

I was thinking that the order was Whizzer, RT, Viper, Demon, AE. That's where I got the whole Demon side/Whizzer side thing. Sorry if it was confusing...

Wait, Viper at Astroworld is defunct?? angnjc said that Jet Scream moved to Astroworld and is now defunct. Is that true? I heard that Astroworld is closed because of flooding, but did they remove Viper? Viper used to be at SFSTL as Jet Scream, right? Hmm...

It was nice to see those pictures from the Viper construction. I have been looking and looking for pics from SFGAm from the days when I was younger for a while now. If anyone ever has any links to pics of the Z-Force, The Tidal Wave, Rolling Thunder, and other former rides at SFGAm let me know, as I find it really interesting to look at the quick evolution that park has made.

It's really weird seeing the photo of that area of the park without the RB towering over everything. Heck, I guess I'd like to see photos of the rides after they were relocated as well.. or any construction pics from the past. These pics make me remember being little again.

2Hostyl,

The Viper line and Roling Thunder line used the tunnel under the railroad track that is now used to go into Southwest Territory. The entrance to the queue lines were by the The Orbit.

Krazy,
Those pics help alot! I forgot how far south the lift hill went for Rolling Thunder.

I recently just got in to coaster last summer and I am interested in seeing Tidalwave. I think it is at SFoG but I don't know the name. Anyone have any pics?

Best picture I could find shows Tidal Wave in it's new location down in Georgia (the name should be obvious). http://www.joyrides.com/sfog/full/viper.htm ENJOY!
Forgive me if I'm wrong. . .

Z-Force went from SFGAm to SFoG with the same name. . .and then onto SFMM as Flashback? Or did I just make the part about Georgia up?

Shockwave was at SFGAdv and the SFMM, and then on to SFAW as Batman: The Escape

Ultra Twister went from SFGAdv to SFAW as well.

Now. . .I started writing this because of Rolling Thunder. Wasn't Rolling Thunder installed in Great America after it was removed from SFGAdv as Sarajevo Bobsleds the season before The Great American Scream Machine was installed? Or, is that an entirely different animal. And then, it was removed from Great America and sent to the Great Escape.

Finally, though they weren't really part of the ride rotation program (which was a Marriot thing, if I recall) there were also the two Vekoma designed Ninja's, which were each at semi-permanent exhibitions, right?

Actually, Z-Force was where Shockwave is now. It was there for 3(?) years, then moved to SFoG.

When the Z-force left SFoG it was replaced with the Ninja. Was the Ninja moved from another Six Flags Park? I heard rumors at the time of the removal of the Z-Force that SFoG had made a trade of some kind with another park, is this true?

Ninja did not come from another Six Flags parks. I think it was from Expo '86 in Montreal, Canada. . . I think.

Actually, I think the NINJA from SFSTL is from the Expo. I'm not sure about the GA one, though

Accually, it was where Iron Wolf now is. Go look at old pics.
1. there is not parking lot on Z-Force's site
2. The station building is the same as Iron Wolf's
3. Why would my parents lie to me about where it stood?

Proof: http://www.angelfire.com/mn/cwsr/zsfgam.html

look at the pic of Z-Force in the background, it's in a wooded area, just like Iron Wolf! Just want to make sure you don't go telling people false facts and not realise it!

A quick search reveals that the Ninja at SFStL is actually from Montreal, while the one in Ga. is from Wildwood, NJ, and was formerly known as Kamikaze.

Also, I was mistaken, and Expo '86 was held in Vancouver :-)

The Z-Force coaster *did* go to Georgia, but it was called Flashback not Z-Force. However, SFoG *does* have a ride called Z-Force...it is their looping starship.
jeremy
Are you sure, 2Hostyl. I definitely remember it being called *Z-Force*. Cause I remember when it debut in 87 or 88. That 360degree ride was in the beginning called the Looping Starship. I should know, I use to visit SixFlagsoGeoriga quite frequently. Then of course Z-force was removed, I dont know if it was part of their so called rotation program or was it the fact that a kid had an heartattack on the ride. I dont remember if that was true or not.

Dayuum, Your HOT!
Speaking of Ride Rotation, Why does Six Flags have the same names for diffrent coasters??? Medusa at Sfmw is a floorless coaster. In Mexico It is a wooden coaster! ANd Viper is a crappy coaster in astroworld i think and it is a good one in sfmm
Viper at Six Flags Astroworld is not defunct, although yes the park flooded and has been closed this week.
