Did SFAW open this year?
I heard they were so broken up over not getting King Cobra as their newest ride since the "unfortunate smelting accident" it only opened for a week ...

SF's management hasnt yet learned the lesson that is your customers leave happy after a enjoyable day they are much more likely to return and talk up the park to family/friends rather than layout the negatives of their experience.
Why not spend some money on properly training employee's, keeping the parks clean, running rides to full capacity and keeping unruly guests in line ie-line skipping/profanity etc.(also increae quality of food offerings and merchandise to make more money)
These simple ideas wont cost millions of dollars but will make the parks far more family friendly and help the bottom line.
How can SF discourage line jumping when they've got a program that actually encourages it?(for a nominal fee of course).

Honestly, I think SFI is in the process of "getting it"....low cap-ex bothers me less with each passing day as I hear more and more of what they ARE doing this off-season to improve the guest experience in other (more productive?) ways....

Yes, while SFOG is not getting anything major they are trying to improve customer satisfaction. One of the things they are doing is bringing back the parking lot trams after removing them a few years ago.

Nice! I always liked riding those parking lot trams...especially after a long day traversing the hills at SFOG.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Its time for one of SF's money making parks to bring back the trams as well.

SFGAm!!! You listenin?? :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I personally find SFMW's trams to be the scariest ride in the park.
SFI just really needs to get their act together. I really hope that they can focus on customer service next year since there won't be any major roller coaster additions.

Its really a shame though because what they have done since 99 is create some major amusement parks out of what was originally small and unthemed that otherwise would not have existed if they hadn't made the major investments. They just disregarded customer service and that continues to hurt them.

New rides alone aren't the key to making guests happy. Please Six Flags realize this already. The potential of their parks is enormous.

I agree with the above. I think this might be the year SF's " Get's It".

I am really hoping with the capital expendeture reduction, we will see cleaner parks, better signage, more theming. I know my homepark had started making some nice improvements in October.

Again i realize this has been discussed, and i don't think it's likely that it will happen. But the fact that some parks like WOA can't turn a profit, it would save the company op costs and the total loss as well as reducing debt and the costs of bringing back a park they ran into the ground. All those reasons and the extremely short term oriented nature of SFI makes me think that there is somewhat a chance if very little.

And no, the company still doesn't get it.
