A fella at my job who's always been something of a know-it-all, talking a big game about things he knows nothing about, insists that Six Flags is owned by a company called Red Hook. I may not know much about the business side of the industry, but I do keep up with news, and I have never heard that name associated with Six Flags. Is there anything, either in an ownership or investment capacity, to connect Red Hook with Six Flags? I searched on-line and found no ties.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

I think he's confusing Red ZONE with Red Hook (who makes beer AFAIK).
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
He probably means Red Zone, which is the company that Dan Snyder owns, and Snyder is/was involved with Six Flags (can't remember, but didn't he leave the board?).
Currently Six Flags is (once again) a publicly traded company.
If you go to the Six Flags website, there should be a tab there called "corporate" or something to that effect. That should give you info about the current officers as well as links to financial data about the company, including major stockholders.
This Reuters news article will explain.
All the pre-bankruptcy shares were wiped out, so Snyder (Red Zone), Bill Gates, and thousands of little investors like me lost their stake in the company.
The company is now mostly owned by hedge funds Stark Investments, Pentwater Capital Management and Bay Harbour Management, plus anyone who has purchased the new stock.

I feel for you. One of my coworkers fits this description to a T. I sometimes question why I talk to him at all, because he already knows everything there is to know. I'm sure we all know someone like this...
Beware the Me Monster
There are 3 parks that are owned by private corporations and run by Six Flags.SFOG is one of them.A few years ago they sued Six Flags for not reinvesting in Rides and won.
