Six Flags Over Texas adding ten new rides

Six Flags Over Texas is adding 10 new "family-oriented" rides next year, the company revealed in a government filing this week. The company did not say what kind of rides the Arlington park would get in 2006 as it outlined plans for various capital projects in the Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

From what I read somewhere some of the rides are coming from SFAW.

There's not a lot AW can offer that SFOT doesn't already have. The troika, Diablo Falls, and SWAT perhaps...

Or the Scrambler, Troika, and Looping Starship...

I thought SFOT already had a Scrambler ride in storage (Missile Chaser)...

Pretty sure it got parted out.

I wouldn't mind it if our scrambler stayed close to home, I'm rather partial to it. Looping Starship seems so similiar to the swinging ship though...

If they got a new/used scrambler, I wonder if they would put it indoors like the one at SF Over Georgia.

I was at SFoT on Saturday (10-15), and it was NUTS! This addition of rides is sorely needed!

Yep, we did 25,000 last Saturday. We're expecting closer to 30,000 today. Needless to say, I don't want to go to work :)

Yeah SFoT can get so crowded, me and my family never go on a weekend because then the lines would be horrible.

The Shy One- Over Texas' Scrambler ride was relocated to Magic Mountain to replace their Scrambler, which was damaged when a tree uprooted and fell on it.
