I'm usually not one to pick apart marketing discrepancies, but...
Country's first beyond vertical dive
Really? I just looked at Hershey's press release for Fahrenheit, and it says 'the deepest drop of any coaster in the United States'.
So, I suppose slight wording changes that mean precisely the same thing is acceptable. These things generally don't bother me because they can usually be justified, but this statement seems flat-out false.
Not that I'm really bothered by it, mind you...
Hey lets not forget that SFGAm has the best water park in the country and the cleanest park. Something tells me that these were voted as the best/cleanest of the SF parks. Apparently they are the only parks in the country....

They're advertising the ride as having "Country's first beyond vertical dive" which seems... dishonest.I won't lie and say I'm not disappointed it's not a Blue Fire-like coaster; that ride looks awesome (and has just lap bars to boot!). Perhaps this ride will get me back to the park for the first time since 2007, though.
Where did you see that it's lap bars?
Didn't SFOG used to call their skycoaster Dare Devil Dive? Seems like they could have come up with a more original name to me.

It might have been my over-use of pronouns, but I was referring to blue fire:

Based on the NL render they used in the pic, I think we can actually probably expect the 2 seats x 3 rows, 6 seater cars like on Anubis, Huracan, and Lynet. Reasoning being that Huracan is the only other vertical lift/beyond vertical drop that features *two* towers to support it, and the reason for that was that the 6 seater cars are ever so slightly less maneuverable in the vertical domain than the original 4x2 cars and required a larger radius over the top.
Just a hunch, should be cool either way. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of the layout.

There are inversions, so I doubt there would be just a lap bar.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Yeah, but in this case, Eurofighters tend to have them. I get what you're saying, though, that inversions doesn't mean it'll have OTSRs.
The Six Flags site has removed the reference to being the first beyond-vertical drop. It now reads (lowercase and all):
"it is the country's first PAUSE element before the beyond vertical drop."
It's the country's first ride that doesn't quite do what at least one other ride does! ;)
