I have heard rumors that were from 10 years ago or something that had Six Flags building a park in Orlando. Can someone shed some light?

They had wanted to but the old Baseball and Boardwalk park, but they backed out and Busch Inc. bought the place and closed it in a few years since thay already owned Busch Gardens Tampa.

Six Flags America IS a Six Flags park!
I had heard a rumor that started up again about 2 years ago that they had cleared land and were building a new park around St. Cloud/Kissimmee. My source, who doesn't know much about parks, swore that he had talked to the construction guys and that Six Flags was going in. As many other boards had stated and I tend to agree with, SF doesn't really build new parks anymore (they just take over fledgling parks and slap their name on it). With Disney, Sea World, IOA, and BGT all in such close proximity and the traffic horror that it is here, I really can't see any new parks for the next several years. With the exception, of course, of Disney and Universal adding new parks to their existing resorts.

I'd say Miami would be more likely since SFOG is well within driving distance from JAX. Are there any small parks around either location that could be taken over?
