For the renewal, I have no idea what you are talking about, processing wise. You don't have to process your pass or anything-
Buy a season pass online and renew your 2002 ID card. No need to have a new ID card processed. Go straight into the park. NO PROCESSING, NO DELAYS!

I would much rather have an orange/red Superman pass than the crappy green Taz pass we had this year.
And here I was thinking 400' coasters were the only thing we griped about.
LOL, I only gripe about it because I saw 2003's pass and its so much sweeter than 2002's. Therefore, I shall wait in line to get the more attractive pass. And I wasn't griping, I was stating my opinion. ;)

I ordered my Six Flags season pass a couple days ago and got charged $7 for shipping. Does anybody have any idea why shipping is so much for the season passes?-----------------

I'd say the reason is that they're Six Flags and they overcharge everything. That would be an enthusiasts excuse. I regular person's excuse would be that ground costs that much, which it does.

You think ground actually costs that much?? You don't order much stuff online do you? ;)
I don't think "regular" people would feel good about that much shipping for a sticker... period.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
Why in the freaking world can't they stick it in an envelope and mail it USPS for 37 cents or whatever it is? Most mail from the USPS takes a max of 7 days to get to it's destination and at most 14! If you're within a few states of the place it was mailed from it can be as little as 3 days. Seven dollars is absolutely outrageous. It's not like anyone should be in a hurry to get their damned sticker now anyways. You have months 'till the parks open back up. PKI charges 3.99 for shipping and handling for season pass purchases, and I think even that is terrible, when two minutes from my house is a Meijer that sells them.
Homey G., wassup? Dood, I just paid $6.10 to ship a memory card ground with UPS (I HATE UPS), and the darn thing weighs all of 0.60lbs! I guess it's all about who the shipper is, and the company you purchase it from. Even with that high shipping cost, it was still the cheapest place.
Also, I saw on the SF site, that you have to live within 300 miles of the park you're trying to purchase a pass from, for "security reasons." I'm not sure if that goes for renewals as well.

Brian, sorry about your Wildcats...Louisville with Pitino looks to be a pretty good team this year. We didn't do the online renewal since we've gotten into the habit of having a new SF *homepark* every year. SFNO seems likely for '03 (if I can connive a Spring trip to the Big Easy)....if not, then SFStL after SRM...
Parking pass, HA! The most we've ever visited any single SF park was two days in the same year....
ApolloAndy, we *gripe* about EVERYTHING....how else will the parks know what needs fixing...;)
Eric, that sucks. I paid 29.99 for a 64 mb compact flash from Best Buy : Long Lines. Not too shabby.
Bill, I know. UK got taken out of the game, and Louisville never looked back. They do look good, but I don't think Marvin Stone is any better in a UL jersey than he was in a UK jersey. They kept talking about him like he was the second coming of .... well someone really good ;)

When he was at UK, he had a moniker....who doesn't, LOL (hey, Chris Berman better not look back, I want his job badly). Marvin "Hands of" Stone. I think the game had more to say about Louisville's team than UK's. Plus, it was a payback game....
This just in: Pitino does NOT belong in the NBA. Seeing him coaching UL would be like Spurrier coming back to take over the Noles when Bowden retires....unthinkable!
bill, saying it is REALLY good to see Brian back...:). You gonna join us for Springtime in the Big Easy? The full-circuit backwards steel has my name all over it....
Brian, that's a good price for a compact flash card. My camera uses a new card called "xd-picture" card and the cheapest locally (places like best buy and such don't even have them) was 49.99! So I was stuck paying rediculous shipping charges and waiting an entire week. Still saved 10 bucks with shipping.
You should come around and talk at me sometime. It's been a while! Like your sig!

So does anyone know if the "300 mile rule" effects those just renewing passes? If not, then I'll definitely take advatage of renewing my 2002 pass from SFWOA for $50 rather than pay the one day admission to SFMM later this month. Heck, who knows, I might actually make the mistake of stumbling into another SF park sometime in 2003 and the pass will have paid for itself.

I saw the deal about the 300 mile rule. The rule only affects the purchases made online. You can call up the park of your choice during regular hours and order it that way. If you look at http://www.sixflagsticketing.com/faq.asp you'll see what I mean.

I can't decide is it BGW or SDC/CC.
Coming to WOF in 2003: A New Dippin' Dots stall :-)
All right- two things:
1. I checked if my pass was renewable in December and it worked. Now, it doesn't work!!! Was my season pass info deleted from SFFM's files? (I live in IL, but purchased it in CA)
2. I hear of "processing days", and are they secific days or may I process any day I wish?

Yeah, I understood that, I may have worded my question poorly. I was wondering if it applied to online renewals as well as purchases.
I got my answer today. No it doesn't pertain to renewals. I got my renewal stickers for my 2002 SFWOA passes and I live 378 miles from the park.
So renewing a pass online that you originally purchased at a SF park far from home is not a problem. (and in many cases, very cheap :) )
