Six Flags Ohio, 9/16/00
That last time I was at the park formally know as Geauga Lake, they only had four coasters (The Big Dipper, Raging Wolf Bobs, Corkscrew, and Double Loop). I was looking forward to this trip because I would be able to get my first ride on a floorless, CCI, and launched coaster. It was the start of Oktober-fest, which was good because there was lots of vendors selling German food. A nice change from your typical amusement park food. The weather was a little cool, but it was pleasant as long as the sun was out. I will just give a my impressions of the various coasters :
Serial Thriller – My first (and probably last) ride on a Vekoma SLC. Way too much head-banging to be enjoyable.
Batman – This is my first time on a floorless and this ride surprised me a little. The ride is not very intense, but it is a lot of fun. From the back car, the first hill and loop gave little pops of air-time. The ride was incredibly smooth and the first loop just is HUGE. I would take this ride over a B&M standup any day. I did not get to sit in the front, but I think the floorless design is more then a gimmick even from the other seats. Not having your feet resting on a solid surface makes it feel like you are floating over the track. I really liked this ride.
Raging Wolf Bobs – This coasters was not as fast or rough as I remembered (or maybe I have just ridden the Mean Streak too much). Not a very exciting coaster.
Superman:UE – We sat in the last seat for this one. This ride is rather short, you only go back and forth a couple of times, but it does give you a good rush. There was a nice effect, when you reach the top of the straight tower, the ride pauses for a second before dropping you back down. Hanging 200 feet in the air against your harness is pretty intense.
The Villain – This was my first time on a CCI woody. The structure itself is ugly. I sat in the very last seat. I wanted to ride it a couple of more times, maybe I just got a bad ride. But none of my friends wanted to ride it again. My friends at not coasters enthusiasts, but they like riding coasters. They where not impressed with the ride either. I don’t know, maybe I will have to come back next year and give the Villain a second chance.
Yes, do give it another chance! My back seat rides have had outright violent airtime. I honestly can't think of another ride that has kept me out of the seat more.

Heh, Jeff, that's because you haven't been on Shivering Timbers... :)
Also, SFNE's Supes will keep your butt off the seat longer, IMO.
Others I've come across include:
Raging Bull (more seconds of air, about seven to eight spots of air)
Apollo's Chariot (again, more sustained long lasting seconds of air, 8 spots)
Bouder Dash (just has SO MANY hills!)
Villain is a very good coaster however, and I think it has more air than GhostRider, which it's so often compared to. However, I do prefer GR for its insane out of control ending, and The Drop is better on GR than on Villain.
Also, SFNE's Supes will keep your butt off the seat longer, IMO.
