Six Flags of WHATEVER

I heard this song, and decided to try and write a "filk" for it...

So l was at Magic Mountain? And I asked the manager "Hey how come you only run one train on... " and he was like "WHATEVER"

Then I was in St. Louis, and I asked a maintainance guy "Hey I heard Ninja was going to be... " and he was like "WHATEVER"

Then I was talking to my stock broker, and I asked him "So you think I should get rid of my SF Stock?" and was like "WHATEVER!"

Cause this is my yes my Six Flags of Whatever...

Six Flags doesn't have the same number of syllables as United States. ;)

Uh... I don't get it? Would somebody care to explain?

It's a theme song used for a Tony Hawk videogame. The singer says "This is My United States of Whatever". I have no idea who does the song, and don't really care to. This was another lame attempt at humor. Please people, leave it to the experts.
The song is by Liam Lynch. I thought it was humorous, but that's probably just because I know the song so well. If anything it's illustrative of SF's apathy.
Yes, and its definitly NOT theme song to Tony Hawke, its been out for a good while now. Funny song, funny guy. Ranks up there with Steven Lynch for comedy.
Rollerhammer got what I was trying to say exactly... the song is all about apathy... which is all I've seen from Six Flags for the last two years - at least at the West Coast parks. I had no idea how old the song was - I'm an old man (over 30) so you'll forgive the occasional stupid attempt at humor...

Oh, I thought it was funny, i was agreeing with you, I was correcting Intamin Fan;)
oh...yeah, that was funny......WHATEVER.
that song was on the MTV show sifl and olly

No need to quote the previous post. Chi

That's because Liam Lynch (who wrote/sang that song) did the voices for sifl and/or ollie (I forget if he did just one or both). *** Edited 12/20/2003 6:12:02 AM UTC by Chitown***

The other parody of the song (involving homesexuality) was way funnier. I did still get a chuckle out of this one though.

Offseason, offseason, goose.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Don't feel bad, Rob. I am wondering the same thing. :-/

I kind of lost interest when Headbanger's Ball and Beavis & Butthead went off the air. LOL!

Heh, I liked it, thought it was clever. And last time I looked IntaminFan, being funny is not something one is an expert in. Just cause you don't think its funny, doesn't mean it isn't to someone else. Are you an expert on humor? (I would say no since your post didn't make me laugh, therefore not making you an expert).

ApolloAndy, gotta admit to wondering where you heard that version...I know where *I* heard it, and I thought you hung around better crowds than that....;)

bill, definitely an amateur humorist...at least until someone offers to pay me...:)

Ahh...memories!

"My West Hollywood Lifestyle Whatever" was an almost-anthem of the ConQuest trip. It didn't take long for Gator, Bass, Dawnmarie, and the gang to add "What-EVER!" to their vernacular...including the slightly muffled version -- "wha-ebh-urh." [you have to hear the parody to get that].

FYI, the song is readily available on KaZaA or any service. It's by T-Ball & BJ [or is that BJ & T-Ball?].

mOOSH

So I went down to Casa De Moosh, and mOOSH was all like "M: TR", and I was like

"Yeah, WHATEVER!"

you guys knew the M:TR refrence was gonna come from somewhere, might as well have been from me;)
