Six Flags New Orleans ruin porn

I haven't seen any recent photos from the abandoned park, but this seems newer given the extent to which things are overgrown:

Wow, that is depressing and kind of fascinating at the same time. That first picture of the Ferris wheel is eerily reminiscent of Chernobyl. The site would make a great filiming location for a post-apocalyptic movie or TV show, that is if the cast and crew could be kept safe from all the wildlife.

I know they have used the site for filming a few times already, including Jurassic World.

Those are creepy pictures for sure. The vegetation growing through the lower portions of the Vekoma Boomerang are spooky simply because that model is so familiar in so many parks.

I read the headline with "ruins" as a verb. So before I clicked, I was trying to figure out what was happening here....like maybe a company was shooting porn movies at the abandoned park and then someone shut them down.

Ha! Likewise. Damn Six Flags New Orleans. This is why we can't have nice things.

It's still interesting the way they took a few of the rides before they bailed (at the very least a B&M Batman clone, right?), but left everything that they did. I vaguely recall there was some question about what was sitting on the land in terms of lease that Six Flags owned and what they didn't. Or maybe I'm thinking of Kentucky Kingdom. I don't even know.

I feel like both properties had that kind of issue with Six Flags. I feel like I remember there was an issue when Six Flags took Chang out of Kentucky Kingdom right before they bailed.

Wikipedia shows they took a junior coaster as well and a few flats. I am surprised they didn't take the Boomerang as well.

Because everyone already had one? Or two? I dunno.
And yeah, at first I thought “how can anything New Orleans ruin porn?” Then “oh, ok...”

It sounds like the "Hot Girls Wanted" documentary. Like something talking about how the women in the videos are actually somebody's daughters, and the industry is actually abusing them.
