Six Flags New Orleans

I have the opportunity to go to Six Flags New Orleans for math day. I really dont wanna go because I wanna go on rides & rollercoasters and I know there are gonna be soooo many people. Also were only staying for 4 hour :( Is Batman, JJ, and all the other rides gonna be open by April 10th? Im from shreveport and the cost is $60. Is it worth it!! But also I could purchase my seasons pass from SFN for like $40 Thanx

Why don't you call the park? Maybe they'll be able to tell you something.

Well, if you can get in with the pass instead of paying for the event.... it's not a park worth $60, Disney Parks don't even cost that much for one day admission.

I'd imagine you are going with school, and that instead of paying $60 to get in, you are paying $60 for transportation on a bus(more than likely chartered if its that much) and admission. Still not worth only 4 hours. We used to go to Math, Science, and Physics day @ Carowinds (1995 through 1999), and paid around $53, but it was a charter bus, from WV to NC/SC and breakfast(this was a 4 hour trip), plus a day out of school and away from the rents. The teachers never made us do the acedemic stuff, and the park was never REALLY busy, So it was worth it.

Yours on the other hand, I'd only go if someone else paid for it!;)

I'd just buy the season pass (which shouldn't be more than $60 anyways), get a ride there and meet up with your friends there. That is assuming you can't drive yourself yet. Then you could go a couple of times through the summer.

$60 for 4 hours isn't worth it just for the park, but if you know you won't be able to get a ride there at all during the summer, and you can get your parents to pay for part of it, I guess it's better than not going at all.

Don't know about what's going to be open - Intamin's right, check the park site or call for that. But i'm sure you can get in 3 coasters in 4 hours (go to Batman and Zeph first, JJ isn't all that great).

That is a special day that season passes will not work. The cost will include transportation and lunch of some sort. They will have a few games open, some f/b outlets, and the arcades and retail.

School days are still fun, and the park is private. Call ahead on the season pass processing, as the office may not be open that day, or staff may be helping in the park.

Well its kinda too late now, i already paid. Shreveport is 7 hours away from NO and we are taking a chartered bus. I just wanted to check out the park.

Geez, 7 hours for 4? Not a good ratio if you ask me. Oh well, it's your cash, and your life. :)
