Food options abound for Six Flags New England visitors, but Saturday the park had a few dozen more culinary treats to choose from. The park hosted its first Food Truck & Beer Festival Saturday, which featured 17 New England food trucks and a few beers brewed in Massachusetts.

I've been completely impressed with these kinds of food truck gatherings, almost anywhere they happen. The people who do these tend to really care about their product and make some really delicious stuff. It used to be a very regional thing, now these guys are everywhere.

There's another one over on 7th Street that is tucked into an industrial area that doesn't have much ambiance. The Clear Fork park is just so great sitting on the river with the access to the jog/ride trails. I work about a half a mile from there and it's a great place for lunch at this time of year.
