Food options abound for Six Flags New England visitors, but Saturday the park had a few dozen more culinary treats to choose from. The park hosted its first Food Truck & Beer Festival Saturday, which featured 17 New England food trucks and a few beers brewed in Massachusetts.

I've been completely impressed with these kinds of food truck gatherings, almost anywhere they happen. The people who do these tend to really care about their product and make some really delicious stuff. It used to be a very regional thing, now these guys are everywhere.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

More parks need to do this. It is always a culinary treat.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Fort Worth and Dallas both have food truck parks where the trucks can set up around an open air seating area with a bar. The Clear Fork Food Park in Fort Worth is one of my favorite patio dining experiences in town.

It's all well and good until someone starts a fight or throws up in the bushes.

I run by there every day and it looks nice, smells good, and has a lot of customers, but I've never tried it.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

There's another one over on 7th Street that is tucked into an industrial area that doesn't have much ambiance. The Clear Fork park is just so great sitting on the river with the access to the jog/ride trails. I work about a half a mile from there and it's a great place for lunch at this time of year.
