My guess is it's going to be very similar to the Georgia Scorcher, a small, twisted layout for a standup.
Hey stealth. The problem is where there supposed to build the new ride theres lots of houses around it and where they built the superman there are no houses there.
Theme Park New England has updated their site. They are going to document the ride from the beginning with construction photos and more. This is great, I'm feeling the excitement already.
I was visiting Springfield College yesterday and decided to stop at SFNE for an hour. I had my seasons pass with me. I wasn't expecting to get on S:RoS within an hour. The line was about 3 1/2 hours. That is why we are getting a new coaster, to spread everything out so everybody isn't in one line all day. Anyway, instead of riding Superman, I waited for 15 minutes for Mind Eraser and rode that. I rode Twister after that and called it a day.

When I was going up the lift for Mind Eraser, I noticed that Double Trouble and Chaos were blocked. The main path to the rides was blocked by three park benches. Maybe both rides were down. This couldn't have something to do with the new coaster for next year obviously, it's too early.
those rides are never open. I think they will be moving them and useing the land for the coaster. Im at the park all the time cause i live 5 minutes away.
You must be closer than I am SFNE, Im about 7 mins away.

New coaster construction will be starting real soon.
Its not too early, I was told today that they will start some of the items next couple of weeks. Namely set up fencing, soil tests, etc. This will give them a little lead till the final nod hopefully gets given Aug. 23. They plan to start construction very soon after with a "no overtime" weekday 8-5 schedule, to minimize the impact to the neighbors. Unlike SROS and that area, which ran all days and hours because it started so late.
For the record::
>Monahan suggested eliminating the parking fee >and increasing the admission ticket so not to >lose revenue. Black said the suggestion would be >considered."

>>Yeah, like SF would eliminate parking fees.

When traffic backs up out the lot to Main St, they are instructed to wave cars through without charging. This has been done twice so far on weekends. That was Mr.Black's answer to the mayoral candidate's question. They left that part out of the paper.

They are really trying to keep everyone happy. The state needs badly to address the South End Bridge situation. That backs up almost every weekend, even when SFNE is closed, when the Big E has a show. Nothing new there to complain about, its been that way for many years.
I just realized something. This coaster cannot be a Stand-Up. It either has to be a floorless or a sit-down. The drawing plans reveal interlocking corkscrews. B&M don't have those on their Stand-ups. It might have a zero G roll also. I don't remember B&M having those on their Stand-ups either. I'm guessing it will be a small floorless.
