Six Flags: New England: Any Advice?

If you want to have a good time make sure you get there early, because it doesnt start getting crowded until about 1pm. You can also save the rides that have single rider lines for later. SROS has been running great and the line moves alot faster since they did away with loose articles. You can find any info you want about the park such as which rides are closed on here.

Unless you're like me and have a deep-seated NEED to try every single flat ride on the market....skip Nightwing. That was more squishing and less fun than I'd ever imagined it could be...we nicknamed it "The Panini Press".

Buzzsaw, the flying carpet, was FLYING. Do ride that... :)

edit: almost forgot to add....RoS blows the doors off MForce. Crushes it. IMO... ;)

Most of the coasters suck except Supes and the the spinny mousey...Pandemonium I think. The B&M is cool.

If it's your first time hit everything! The park isn't that big (I thought it would be bigger.)

From what I remember the food was, well, overpriced park food (I think I had pizza) which wasn't anything to write home about. I suggest getting something before you hit the park.

Then go to Lake Compouce. ;) I did both in a day easily.

I went to SF:NE last season and I fail to see where Superman beats MF in anything. The only imaginable quality superman has that beats MF is airtime. Besides that, the speed, height, and overall riding experience is much more astounding on MF.

Obviously, hit SRoS first. That is the only ride that had a relatively long line. The rest average around a half hour or so when I went. The woodies there suck pretty bad IMO but batman and Pandemonium are fun rides.

See...and I feel just the opposite: that SFNE's Supes blows Millie out of the water. Funny thing is, we're both right! Isn't that what's great about personal preferences?

The other thing I can't agree with in this thread is doing both SFNE and LC in one day.

Not necessarily because SFNE warrants more time, but because LC does. :)

Seriously, it's been 6 years since I've been up that way, but I'm glad I had a full day for each park.

Last time I was in the area my plan was to start the day at LC, then finish the night at SFNE. Around 1pm I left Compounce for SFNE. I was back at Compounce before 7pm and finished the night riding Boulder Dash.

If LC ever builds a clone of SFNE's Supes I'd have no reason to ever go back to that Six Flags park!

Boulder Dash in the front at night is ridiculously fun. I really don't think it gets much better than that. I can't imagine doing both parks in one day either. 1) SFNE is too crowded most of the time. 2) LC has too much fun stuff to do.

MF and SM:ROS are my #1 and #2 depending on which one I just got off. :) Love both of those rides.

If you only had one day to do both parks you could do it fairly easily, however both parks IMO deserve a full day.

MF is great for non-stop speed, but S:ROS also has speed and lots of changes of direction (closer to the station) leading to massive amounts of airtime.

One of the best moments of airtime happens right behind the photo booth. Even though this is a straight-ahead section, the hill has great sustained ejector air over its length.
