After a week in ATL and time here in the DC/B'more area, I've been bombarded with radio and TV commercials from Six Flags' new marketing campaign. (For those who haven't seen it's a weird looking old bald guy in a tux dancing to techno music)
We all know SF needs/wants to turn things around for their parks with the lackluster public opinion and poor business. So, my question is this: Is this goofy ad campaign the right thing? It will appeal to much of the younger sect, of course, but is that what they need? I don't think so. I think they need a slick, classy add which shows that they have (or have improved) the park(s) in terms of friendliness, class, etc. This campaign has just served to annoy those who I've seen/heard it with. (I heard a "Ugh...not this stupid thing again" out of someone)
This is not meant to be SF bashing, nor is it meant to turn into that. I was just looking for thoughts about this campaign....what do you think?
