Six Flags Entertainment Corp. announced the hiring of Michael Spanos after trading markets closed Thursday. He takes over Nov. 18 from Jim Reid-Anderson, who resigned as the company’s chairman, president and CEO.

I was going to comment on the new CEO's lack of experience in the leisure space, but the same could be said of Reid-Anderson and he worked out pretty well for the company. His background was random jobs (including a stint at Pepsi) followed by work in the healthcare industry before going to Six Flags.
