Six Flags Myrtle Beach?

I was told by a friend of mine recently (not an enthusiast) that he had heard that Six Flags was developing a park in Myrtle Beach. I told him that I had heard about (although not recently) the reported Hard Rock Park that was supposedly in the works out at Fantasy Harbour, but that as far as I knew, Six Flags wasn't developing anything, even though he insisted that he had seen signs for it.

Is there any truth to this at all?

No.

This Matt says absolutely not as well. Your friend is confused...its the Hard Rock Cafe proposal that you are thinking of that HE is thinking of.

But I said it so much more poetically!

A day at the park is what you make it!

Six Flags has made it *pretty clear*....they have not been and will not be building anything "from scratch".

Personally, I think they lost the recipe... ;)

Very doubtful, Travio.

I did get excited when I saw "harbour" in your post, though.

Six Flags Magic Harbour?

I can only wish. :-P

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I missed somewhere.

While we're at it, is there any new news about the Hard Rock park?

Yep, hardrock park. And it'll be more than a 'proposal' Aug. 16 if the city votes yes on Zoning and such. The company has went from asking for an extra $20-$30 mill to complete private funding, so I've got a feeling it'll get accepted, since the city is happier with it. If the Pavilion does go bye-bye, I hope that Hard Rock at least buys some of their stuff (and re-tracks hurricane, hey, they could still keep the name, just make it "Rock you like a Hurricane...";)).

The logo looks nice for it as well. I hope they build it (and I hope the Pavilion stays as well, but who knows...).
