Several photos of Six Flags Marine World have been added to ACN. Included in the gallery are shots of the modified Vertical Velocity, Medusa, Roar and more.

So what is the word on this thing? Has anyone rode it post-modification? Seeing the photos of those people upside down in that weird position looks incredibly uncomfortable to me. But then I was thinking about Aero 360 at Kennywood which leaves you upside in many different positions and it isnt uncomfortable, but it is also equipped with seriously padded OTSRs.

I like the modified version more than the old. It is not a major improvement, but it is definitely better (at least in my opinion). And no, I didn't find the ride to be uncomfortable at all.

What I don't understand is why, if people are left in a weird position, does it have that long straight piece at the end?

I rode it a week ago Monday, and I loved it. The brake on the back spike was a bit of a "drag"....but it was moderately effective. I like the uniqueness of the ride now. I still think I prefer the vertical spikes, but this one is still pretty sweet.

BTW Drew.... if it didn't have that long section of track, the cars would slam into the end on the second trip up the track. The stop in the twist is only on the first and last trip up the front spike.

I thought the old one was great but this is much better. The foruth row is THE place to sit, stalling upsidedown, is just indiscribible! Very comfy, I didn't notice even htting the OTSR's, which I probibly was resting my shoulders on. The ride now hgas a alot of character and elements. The second launch sends the whole train up the front spike, out of the roll and you get a great view. Then you roll back and roll slowly through the zero g backwards, very unique! Yes on my 2 rides the back brake only worked on the second, and it is a real "Drag" is just kinda works.

See THE ULTIMATE in Orlando TR'S! Right now in the TR fourm!

Looks very different. Got to get back down there to try it out now. The orginal V2 was fun but didn't compare to S:UE. The holding break on S:UE made it that much better.

Steel: 1)MF, 2)Goliath, 3)Magnum
Wood: 1)Villain, 2)Beast, 3)Roar(SFMW)

it looks really weird and uncomfortable, but ill try it since im goin to sfmw in about a week or two.

I got to ride on the new V2 at SFMW about a month ago, after riding S:UE, SFGrAm's V2, and Wicked Twister in June, and I can honestly say that I like the twisting inversion on SFMW's the best of all 4 of them.

The launch doesn't feel quite as intense, but the inline twists are great. Definately a great ride!
