Six Flags Magic Mountain's Dec. 19th Announcement!

Can't argue with that. I guess I just fell in love with Medusa. I said 2001 would be the Arrow comeback year, for SFMM's sake I hope it's true.

Take a picture, it will last longer...
Superbatboy has a point. Well, think of B&M as a classic manufacturer rather than an innovative one.

What about their prototype? First one is said to be built at Alton Towers. Also there was an old rumor that SFMM would get a Vertical Rollercoaster - Oblivion style.

Still I think SFMM will get a Floorless as a lot are showing up at SF parks and there've been heaps of rumors dating a while back. One was that Ninja would be removed and replaced with a Superman Themed Floorless to go with the Escape.

An Arrow 4th would be good if it works. IntaminAGFan and myself would like to know what is it exactly?? I missed out on the spy pics and buzz.

What I know is the cars are really huge and have poles sticking out on either side with the seats fixed to them in pairs - four a row. And there's an extra set of rails to control the seats position from flying to sitting level and to lying down position. This right?

That is correct about the 4th D., CoasterGod.

Contact coasterbuzz member "Metrock" for the pics and video. Arrow contacted him personally asking (OK forcing, with threat of legal action) him to take down the website with the pics on it. I think he still has the pics, and would most likely be able to e-mail them to you.

So you want a coaster in your backyard? I hope you have a big backyard.
Thanks Soggy. I really hate to clutter this thread up, but does anyone have Metrock's Info/Profile or email?

SFMM should have removed Ninja an placed the Hyper on top of the hill, thus utilizing the natural terrain for the drop, hills and such. That would have been an awesome spot for a coaster IMO.

I can't believe everybody believes these rumors to be true... They may get something new, but right after Goliath? Let's be logical people. It is dumb to spend SO MUCH money.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Yeah, you would know Craig, what, with you being the head of a major park and all...

Believe the rumors, the coaster(s) is(are) coming. December 19th we all will find out the details.

I mean, the park asked an ACE rep to send invites to all these people for major news. I'm pretty sure a new fountain isn't major news (well, unless it's CP :)).

SFGAm '01: Better than Wildfire
I know I sound stupid but what is flashback like, and what is a defunct coaster???

-------------
Six Flags Great America #1 Park!!!
Flashback is the only Intamin Space Diver coaster in existance (and it hasn't even broken a chain yet! ;)). Its claim to fame is all the dives it performs, while never inverting you, banks at an incredible angle while it drops. People think it's the roughest coaster on the planet, but I disagree. I thought it was extremely fun and thrilling with minimal headbanging.

A dufunct coaster is a coaster that is no longer operational. It may cease to exist (Thunderbolt at Coney Island) or SBNO (Standing But Not Operating) like the Screechin' Eagle at Americana.

That should answer your questions.

Oh My God! I finally found another person who likes Flashback! Dude, I have taken so many hits from my friends for liking that coaster. The dives on that thing are amazing, and I hate that SFMM just let's it sit there year after year with no riders, and no maintenance. Hopefully, we'll here something in the announcement about Flashback's future. As far as the announcement is concerned, I will be there, and the impression I got was that this is "BIG" with a capital B. What people don't know is that Goliath was bought and paid for years ago, before Premier even took over the park. The project just kept getting pushed back and pushed back, not to mention all sorts of construction delays. Goliath was suppose to rule the world for a few years had it been built when it was suppose to. Now the stats look pretty tame compared with MF and SD. So SFMM isn't spending as much money as it seems.

I think SFMM absoulty has to get a floorless then it will be a complete park if they got more flat rides. I don't think Ninja will be remvoed unfortintly. It just had it's winder check up and is popular with GP, It is also barley 10 years old.
I still don't exactly get what Flashback does, can you just explain the layout. Thanks!!!

Six Flags Great America #1 Park!!!

*Fly Stealth*
B&M never does anything new and innovative??? What about and inverted looper? What about a floorless? And I can't say that I have ever seen loops that big before B&M came along. What is the topic again? LOL oh yeah, I am not sure what I am looking more forward to on the 19th, the announcement or the food and ride time we will be getting :)
