So, pretty much someone was torching/cutting out old track and didn't make sure they killed off any embers before going home for the day?

If I ever get out to SFMM I'm going to park mid-embers.

I heard cedar point fan boys are claiming responsibility. They also are claiming its not technically a coaster since it is not a full cicuit.

I'm sure the PointBuzz "coaster war" fanboys would have loved if the whole thing would have went up in a giant blazing inferno. Some would even say it was set intentionally to help even the score in said "coaster war." Its not true though....the blame lies in an inexperienced welder...a rather sad story actually. I heard he was an older retiree....had just signed on with RMC to earn an extra buck or two. He was an avid amusement park and coaster fan. I read his name....it was Dick something. I don't remember his last name, but I think it started with a K..... ;)

The firemen's hose in the ariel picture looks like a new coaster track!
