Six Flags Magic Mountain shows progress on Twisted Colossus

Amid the holiday decorations, work continues at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Twisted Colossus — the revamped coaster that will replace the iconic wooden Colossus that was retired last summer. Park officials have promised fans to upgrade Colossus, which opened at the park in 1978.

The car at IAAPA seemed oddly small, and those shin restraints always cause concern for me. I hope it's comfortable.

As uncomfortable as some coaster seats and restraints are for me, I've never had any issue with the shin bars. I hear so many people complain about em but I usually can't tell they're even there.

The shin restraints are a non issue. Goliath has the same trains and they were comfy and very accommodating.

It was looking good when we went the Monday before Thanksgiving. They are really ripping out a lot of the original structure.
