Pounding hammers and whining saws at Magic Mountain in Valencia signal a new roller coaster dubbed Terminator Salvation and other changes in the works for the summer tourist season. But the noise and excitement about the park's plans can't completely muffle the bad news coming from New York-based parent company Six Flags Inc., which announced Thursday that its stock value had fallen so low that it was being delisted by the New York Stock Exchange. The park's general manager says it will not affect future attractions.

....and Jay Thomas just keeps continuing to impress. Regardless of your feelings about SF in general, or SFMM in speicific, that guy is a winner.
Park has been very busy during Spring Break and looked better then ever. I am on the Jay Thomas train aswell and rooting for him. Magic Mountain looked great on my last several visits. Can not wait to see what is in store for us in 2010 and 2011
Me thinks Mr. Thomas and Moosh need to have a one on one conversation. :)
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
^Actually, given the situation in LA, it's hard to imagine a better use of JT's time. Someone like Moosh could really give some insight as to how to recapture that old Wally World magic. Jay T. is smart enough to know how to research the market, as was shown during his short tenure at SFKK (some innovative programs were developed in a very short time there).
I've already promised (see this thread: http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/55496.aspx) to visit the park this summer and post a trip report. If I see JT I'll stop and talk to him and tell him why I haven't visited the park in years.
