Six Flags Magic Mountain and Samsung use augmented reality on Revolution

Six Flags Magic Mountain and Samsung announced the New Revolution Galactic Attack mixed reality experience. As before, Six Flags is using Samsung's Gear VR headset, but now it's using the passthrough camera on the Galaxy phones, letting you see the virtual content overlaid on the real world.

Anyway, they have VR on two coasters, and riders are prepped and ready to go well in advance of boarding. It was efficient, caused very little delay if any, and no one complained after they gladly lined up for the up-charge experience. Certain seats were reserved for VR in one of two trains on each ride, and the seats were made available for any rider if they didn't fill all the seats with VR users.
