Six Flags Magic Mountain

I'm from the east coast and I'am planning a trip to SFMM in August. So my question is how long are the lines at SFMM usually like. I've ridden coasters like M-Force and TTD at CP. I'm looking forward to my trip to California and looking VERY forward to ride X and the other great rides their! I know that X has been down sometimes, but I'm looking for some answers. If it helps, I'm going on a Thursday so please tell me what it is like their! Thx.
There is a lot of hilly terrain in the park, something that you won't be used to with the East Coast parks. So wear sneakers during your visit, not any kind of open toe or sandals unless you want your feet worn out by the end of the day. Magic Mountain, contrary to popular belief, has a lot of landscaping, so the Southern California summer heat should not be too big of a deal if you sit and rest under the shade for 10-15 minutes every hour and a half. Drink a lot of fluids and wear sunglasses or any kind of hat/cap...same stuff and advice you'll hear from other parks.
Kraxle, I suppose BGW doesn't count as an East Coast park? ;)

If at first don't succeed, find out if the loser gets anything.

Yes BGW has lots of terrain but nothing like SFMM the park is a Jane Fondas workout nightmare lol. There is mountain in the middle of the park (or huge hill whatever) with a steep winding path up to the top that will have Tony Little outta breath lol. Also that walk/run to X is nothing nice either, especially on a hot cali day and not a water faucet anywhere in sight, So make sure the $5 dollar 3 oz. bottle of Arrowhead water is the first thing you grab.

Anyways I would follow Kraxle advice and where some nice comfortable shoes, DRINK plenty of water and were plenty of sunscreen Cali is on fire in August. Heck it's hot as hell right now. Also make sure you rest alot b/c walking around SFMM all day in 100+ degree temps, and 1 hour+ lines will leave you exausted. Then you'll be all pooped out and ready to go before the park really gets fun, and that's at night when it has cooled(but still warm) down and alot of the peeps that got wore out earlier in the day has left.

X...I still can't believe it wasn't a dream
