Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Going Away

The former owners were touring the park with a Six Flags GM. Maybe, the park will be sold. After the accident and bad press, why not get rid of it? They didn't add say that they are going to add any new attractions for 2008 either, and I always thought that park was a piece of junk.

I hope they do it. Yeah! What are your thoughts on this subject? *** Edited 10/5/2007 2:46:59 PM UTC by Spinout***

SFKK added Deluge this year.

In before close.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
I meant in 2008 they aren't going to add anything because they announced it already.

SFKK is one of the cash-cows of the chain. I doubt it's going anywhere.
It wouldn't suprise me if they decided to sell or close the park as they, along with SFA are the only two parks in the united states division of the chain that were deliberately left out of the 2008 cap ex budget.
As opposed to accidentally left out?

I was about to ask for a source for this.

But then I realized when information just "shows up" on Coasterbuzz like this it's always from the same source.

And I was right!

They've been right a hell of a lot recently.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

No matter what's happening to it, "going away" is not the correct terminology.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

That makes it sound like the park is run by Tony Soprano. :)

Yawn.

The park is pretty much a pit, even by six flags standards. But I have much more fun there than at Great Adventure, due to good ole Tidal Wave/Greezed Lightnin!

That ride is hands down the shining star of the park. Thunder Run was literally falling apart (padding in seats missing, etc.) and my lap bar even clicked up a couple notches.

I know Jay Thomas was doing what he could with the park, and he did certainly help it out while he was there. Can't wait to see what he does with MMountain.
